IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Palmerston North Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the street described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than fifty feet, it being inexpedient to lay off such street of a width of sixty-six feet.

SCHEDULE.
THAT proposed street in the Wellington Land District, Borough of Palmerston North, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 18·16 perches, more or less, through Lot 3, D.P. 7051, and the land in D.P. 8218, being part Lot 6, D.P. 7051, all being part Suburban Section 1083, Town of Palmerston North, Block XI, Kairanga Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 71082, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

The Southern Side and Portion of the Northern Side of a New Street, off Eden Street, in the City of Wellington, known as Travancore Street, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the nineteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, in so far as it affects the portions of street described in the Schedule hereto, viz. :
“The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that newly constructed street off Eden Street through part Lot 8, D.P. 1443, and also Lot 128, D.P. 816, part Section 6, Town District, for a distance of approximately five chains and a half from its junction with Eden Street, or as more particularly delineated on plan marked P.W.D. 69734, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall be at any time be erected on the land fronting the portions of the said street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE.
THE southern side of that new street, off Eden Street, situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Travancore Street, adjoining part Lot 8, D.P. 1443, and part Lot 128, D.P. 816, part Section 6, Town R.D. Block X, Port Nicholson Survey District, and the northern side of the portion of the said street adjoining the lots marked (on P.W.D. plan 71097), 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the said Lot 128. As the said portions of street are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 71097, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the sixteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction ; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto

The sections are well drained ; good residential-sites.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Tuesday, the twentieth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule ; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.
