LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road:
1 acre 1 rood.
Being Crown land.
Situated in Block III, Waiwera Survey District (Auckland
R.D.). (S.O. 24615.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 73720,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of
November, 1928.

Portions of Roads closed in the Town of Kinloch, Lake
County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles
Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portions of
roads in the Town of Kinloch described in the Schedule
hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the pieces of roads closed: 5 acres
3 roods 20 perches.
Being portions of Eishart Street, Bracadale Street, Armadale
Street, and Dunvegan Street, Town of Kinloch (Otago
R.D.).

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particu-
larly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 73430, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of
November, 1928.

Opening Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection
on Renewable Lease.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on me by the Land Act, 1924, I, General
Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on
renewable lease on Monday, the twenty-first day of January,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, at the rental
mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that
the said land shall be leased under and subject to section
one hundred and fifty-three of the said Act, as it contains, or
is supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.


SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Bay of Islands County.—Kawakawa Survey District.
SECTIONS 52, 53, and 54, Block XVI: Area, 43 acres 0 roods
29 perches. Capital value, £50. Half-yearly rent, £1.
Situated on the Main North Road and Hospital Road
about one mile and a quarter from Kawakawa Railway-
station by metalled road. Broken country, covered with
short manuka, hakea, and fern. Soil is poor clay, poorly
watered by swamps. No improvements. Altitude, 50 ft. to
250 ft. above sea-level.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of
November, 1928.

Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that
on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has
been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under
the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-
General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become
Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in
the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf
of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act,
1909, and its amendments:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the
Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, General Sir Charles
Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set
out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.


SCHEDULE.

KAIMANAWA 1e 2c Block, Waitahanui Survey District:
Approximate area, 2,153 acres 1 rood 20 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of
November, 1928.

ERRATUM.—In the fourth line of the Schedule of Order
in Council published in Gazette No. 81, of 25th October,
1928, at page 3091, extending prohibition of alienation of
certain Native land in Tongariro and Waimanu Survey Dis-
tricts, “Taurewa 4 West A 2b No. 1 (balance)” should read
“Taurewa 4 West E 2b No. 1 (balance),” and the Order in
Council as enacted accordingly reads as follows:—

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Land
other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day
of October, 1928.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase
Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-
three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the
power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, and
by section one hundred and eleven of the Native Land Amend-
ment Act, 1913 (as amended by section eight of the Native
Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act,
1916), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a
further period of eighteen months the Order in Council dated
the twenty-third day of May, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty-seven, and gazetted the twenty-sixth day of May,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, but only in so
far as it affects the Native lands specified in the Schedule
hereto prohibiting all alienation other than alienation in
favour of the Crown.
