Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day of October, 1928.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council dated the twenty-eighth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and gazetted the eighth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, prohibiting all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

Amendment to Polling-places under Electoral Act, 1927.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Electoral Act, 1927, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend the polling-places as shown against the electoral districts the names of which are specified in the following Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
Marsden Electoral District—
Parakakau, the Public Hall, to be altered to Parakakau, the Public School.
Temuka Electoral District—
Mird, the Public School, to be altered to Milford, the Public School.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 1st day of November, 1928.

Amending the Warrant authorizing the Taumarunui Borough Council to construct a Bridge over the Ongarue River at Taumarunui (together with Approaches thereto), and apportioning the Cost.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by section nine of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend the Warrant dated the twenty-fifth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in Gazette No. 82 of the twenty-sixth day of same month, authorizing the Taumarunui Borough Council to construct a bridge over the Ongarue River at Taumarunui (together with approaches thereto), and apportioning the cost, in terms of section one hundred and nineteen of the Public Works Act, 1908, as follows—viz., the amount which the Taumarunui Borough Council is authorized to borrow by special order, without taking any poll of the ratepayers thereon, for the purpose of the execution of the work described in the said Warrant shall be one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six pounds three shillings and three pence.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of November, 1928.

Amending the Warrant authorizing the Te Aroha Borough Council to construct a Bridge over the Waihou River at Te Aroha (together with Approaches thereto), and apportioning the Cost.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by section nine of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend the Warrant dated the eight day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, published in Gazette No. 85 of the seventeenth day of the same month, authorizing the Te Aroha Borough Council to construct a bridge over the Waihou River at Te Aroha (together with approaches thereto), and apportioning the cost, in terms of section one hundred and nineteen of the Public Works Act, 1908, as follows—viz.: The amount which the Te Aroha Borough Council is authorized to borrow by special order without taking any poll of the ratepayers thereon for the purpose of the execution of the work described in the said Warrant shall be nine thousand seven hundred and fifty pounds (£9,750).
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 1st day of November, 1928.
