THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Proclaiming Native Land to be vested in His Majesty under Section 368 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that the Crown may purchase any Native land in pursuance of a resolution of the assembled owners passed and confirmed in accordance with Part XVIII of the said Act, and on the resolution being adopted by the Native Land Purchase Board it shall become a contract of purchase as between the Crown and all persons who are the owners of the land; and the Governor-General may, by Proclamation, at any time after the contract of purchase has been so made, declare that the land so purchased is vested in His Majesty the King, and it shall vest accordingly and shall become Crown land:

And whereas a resolution was passed by a meeting of assembled owners, and duly confirmed by the Waiariki District Maori Land Board, that the land set out in the Schedule hereto be sold to the Crown:

And whereas the Native Land Purchase Board has adopted such resolution:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the said Act, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land set out in the Schedule hereto is vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE.

KAINGAROA SURVEY DISTRICT.

ORUATEWEHI NO. 2 BLOCK: Approximate area, 44 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of October, 1928.

Land set apart as an Endowment for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the piece of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which is adjacent to the endowments for primary education described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said endowments.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 1 acre 0 roods 8 perches, more or less, being Allotment 110, Parish of Kourawhero; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 16/1557A, deposited in the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department, Wellington, and thereon edged red. (North Auckland plan 24353, blue.)

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 80 acres 1 rood 22·8 perches, more or less, being Allotments 69A, 70, 71A, 72, 72A, 74A, 88, 88A, and 89, and parts Allotments 68, 69, 71, 73, and 74, Education Reserves, Parish of Kourawhero; as the same is delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 16/1557B, deposited in the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department, Wellington, and thereon edged red. (North Auckland plans 26A, 5153, 6341, 7132C, 12849, 19472, 24353, blue.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day of November, 1928.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as roads the land in Tauhara Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as roads: 11 acres 2 roods.

Portion of Redoubt Reserve, Taupo Township, Block II, Tauhara Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/407, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2278, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of November, 1928.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in Mangonui Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 7 acres 3 roods 29 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Allotment part 5 on D.P. 978, Allotments 8, 9, 10, 24, 33 (part Parapara K.G.R.) and part Parapara K.G.R., Taipa Parish, Block IV, Mangonui Survey District.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1595, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2271, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of November, 1928.
