Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land :
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, and its amendments :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.

MOUTERE SURVEY DISTRICT.
HOROWHENUA XI B 42 C 1 Block: Approximate area, 1,088 acres 2 roods.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of October, 1928.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the County of Rangitikei, at Turakina.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of the land taken for the purposes of the Foxton – New Plymouth Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act; 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Rangitikei County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land : 21·7 perches and 12·7 perches.
Portions of Railway Reserve (Ruatangata Block), Block XV, Ikitara Survey District, Rangitikei County. (S.O. 2401.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 39937, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue and grey.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of October, 1928.
