of section 41 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act,
1908, been pleased to make the following appointments:—

to be a member of the Waikato Domain Board, in place of
Douglas Campbell Sproat, deceased.
George Powell
to be a member of the Karioi Domain Board, in place of
Alexander Strachan, deceased.

to be a member of the Frasertown Domain Board, in place of
Alexander Sinclair, resigned.

to be a member of the Ongarue Domain Board, in place of
William Henry Barber, resigned.

to be Registrar of Poisons for the Southland District for the
purposes of the Poisons Act, 1908, as from the 8th day of
October, 1928.
Constable William Stuart Boyle
to be Clerk and Bailiff of the Magistrates’ Court at Lumsden
for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1908, as from
the 10th day of October, 1928.
William Dryburgh Wallace, Esquire,
to be Registrar at Christchurch of the Supreme Court of New
Zealand and Sheriff for the District of Canterbury for the
purposes of the Judicature Act, 1908, as from the 13th day of
October, 1928.

General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the
Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and
Documents Act, 1919, appointed
James Hastie,
of Matata, to be an Officer for the purposes of Part II of
the first-mentioned Act, in respect of the Rotorua Acclima-
tization District.

Military Forces.
COMMANDS.
Lieutenant-Colonel R. Wyman, D.S.O., The Waikato Mounted
Rifles, relinquishes command of the Regiment, and is
transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 4.
Dated 2nd October, 1928.
Lieutenant-Colonel C. R. Spragg, v.d., The Waikato Mounted
Rifles, is appointed to command the Regiment. Dated 3rd
October, 1928.
THE WAIKATO MOUNTED RIFLES.
Major C. R. Spragg, v.d., to be Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated
3rd October, 1928.
THE WELLINGTON EAST COAST MOUNTED RIFLES.
Major J. O. Scott (Retired List) to be Major. Dated 10th
September, 1928.
CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.
Southern Depot.
2nd Lieutenant T. H. F. Nevins is transferred from the
Southern Depot to the Central Depot, with seniority as
from the 31st October, 1925. Dated 9th October, 1928.
THE N.Z. INFANTRY.
The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own).
Captain H. A. Wernham, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 1. Dated 8th October,
1928.
2nd Lieutenant N. V. Rix-Trott, 1st Battalion, is transferred
to the Wellington West Coast Regiment. Dated 9th
October, 1928.
2nd Lieutenant E. P. Wills, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the
Wellington West Coast Regiment. Dated 9th October,
1928.
2nd Lieutenant E. P. Baty, from the Waikato Regiment, to
be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority as from the 22nd Novem-
ber, 1923, and is posted to the 6th C Battalion. Dated
8th October, 1928.
The Waikato Regiment.
2nd Lieutenant E. P. Baty, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the
Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own). Dated
8th October, 1928.
The Wellington West Coast Regiment.
2nd Lieutenant E. P. Wills, from The Auckland Regiment
(Countess of Ranfurly’s Own), to be 2nd Lieutenant, with
seniority as from the 19th November, 1923, and is posted
to the 1st C Battalion. Dated 9th October, 1928.
