Charles James Strongman, Esquire,
to be an Inspector of Mines for the purposes of the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and its amendments, for the Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast District, as from the 1st day of October, 1928.
George Smeaton Clark, Esquire,
to be Clerk of the Magistrates’ Courts at Hamilton and Morrinsville for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1908, Registrar at Hamilton of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, and Sheriff for the District of Hamilton, for the purposes of the Judicature Act, 1908, and Local Patent Officer at Hamilton for the purpose of section 15 of the Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1921–22, as from the 1st day of October, 1928.

Captain A. E. Brendon, 13th Coast Battery, is transferred to the Waikato Regiment. Dated 6th August, 1928.
THE AUCKLAND REGIMENT (COUNTESS OF RANFURLY’S OWN).
Lieutenant J. de L. Lorimer, from the Wellington Regiment, to be Lieutenant, 1st Battalion, with seniority as from the 15th November, 1925. Dated 25th September, 1928.
The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) H. C. Luscombe, 1st C Battalion, lapses. Dated 26th September, 1928.
THE WAIKATO REGIMENT.
Captain A. E. Brendon, from the Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, to be Captain, 1st Battalion, with seniority as from the 14th November, 1924. Dated 6th August, 1928.
2nd Lieutenant J. McK. Gordon, M.M., 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 4. Dated 25th September, 1928.
2nd Lieutenant H. Jakeman, 1st C Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 24th September, 1928.
THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT.
Lieutenant J. de L. Lorimer, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own). Dated 25th September, 1928.
2nd Lieutenant H. A. McAulay, 2nd C Battalion, is transferred to the Hawke’s Bay Regiment. Dated 27th September, 1928.
Quartermaster and Captain T. J. L. Buxton, 1st Battalion, to be Quartermaster and Major. Dated 1st October, 1928.
THE HAWKE’S BAY REGIMENT.
The undermentioned 2nd Lieutenants to be Lieutenants. Dated 15th September, 1928.

2nd Lieutenant H. A. McAulay, from the Wellington Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Battalion, with seniority as from the 14th September, 1927. Dated 27th September, 1928.
2nd Lieutenant E. G. Latimer ceases to be posted to the 1st C Battalion, and is posted to the 2nd C Battalion. Dated 29th September, 1928.
THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.
2nd Lieutenant F. E. Wilkes, from the Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Battalion, with seniority as from the 12th March, 1927. Dated 28th September, 1928.
Lieutenant C. L. E. L. Sheppard ceases to be posted to the 4th C Battalion, and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 2nd October, 1928.
Charles Joseph Emmett Henty, to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) 1st Battalion. Dated 2nd June, 1928.
THE NELSON, MARLBOROUGH, AND WEST COAST REGIMENT.
2nd Lieutenant F. E. Wilkes, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Canterbury Regiment. Dated 28th September, 1928.
N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Lieutenant W. M. Cotter, M.B., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 1st October, 1928.
Lieutenant W. H. B. Bull, M.B., is attached for duty to the Central Depot, N.Z.M.C. Dated 25th September, 1928.
Norman Charles Speight, M.B., to be Lieutenant, and is posted to the Otago University Medical Company. Dated 20th September, 1928.
N.Z. VETERINARY CORPS.
Major E. E. Elphick, M.R.C.V.S., ceases to be attached to the Nelson, Marlborough, Mounted Rifles, and is attached for duty to the Wellington East Coast Mounted Rifles. Dated 26th September, 1928.
RESERVE OF OFFICERS.
Canterbury Regiment.
Lieutenant J. E. Strachan is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 29th September, 1928.
