Ngatea-Waharoa via Morrinsville.—All that road or portion of road in the Piako and Matamata Counties commencing at the northern boundary of the Piako County opposite the north-western corner of Section 15, Block 1, Waitoa Survey District, and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction via Tahuna and Morrinsville, and terminating at its junction with the Waitoa-Taupo Main Highway at the south-eastern corner of Section 19, Matamata South Block, Block 13, Wairere Survey District, being a distance of 33 miles 26 chains, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 73354, and thereon coloured red.
Also all that street or portion of street in the Morrinsville Borough commencing at the northern boundary of the Morrinsville Borough, and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction via Studholme Street, and terminating at the southern boundary of the said Borough of Morrinsville at the Waitakaruru Stream, being a distance of 1 mile 48 chains, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 71171, and thereon coloured red.
Waitoa-Maukoro.—All that road or portion of road in the Piako County commencing at its junction with the Ngatea-Waharoa via Morrinsville Road in the Maukoro Reserve A No. 1, Block VI, Waitoa Survey District, and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction through Blocks 6, 10, 11, 15, and 16, Waitoa Survey District, and terminating at its junction with the Hamilton-Paeroa Main Highway at a point opposite the south-western corner of Lot 1, Waokauri No. 2 Block, in Block 16, Waitoa Survey District, being a distance of 12 miles 10 chains, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 73354, and thereon coloured red.
Panmure-Howick.—All that road or portion of road in the Manukau County commencing at a point opposite the north-eastern corner of Lot 1, Section 2, Panmure Village, in Block II, Otahuhu Survey District, and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction along the public road, across the Tamaki River Bridge, and terminating at the southern end of the said bridge, being a distance of 51 chains, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 73429, and thereon coloured blue.
Putaruru-Arapuni.—All that road or portion of road in the Matamata County commencing at the junction of the Waitoa-Taupo Main Highway and Main Street in the Putaruru Town District, and proceeding generally in a south-westerly direction over the said Main Street, Princes Street, and Arapuni Road, and thence along the northern boundary of Sections 15, 14, and 13, Block X, Patetere North Survey District, Mangakaretu No. 2A and No. 2B (Native Reserve); thence through Section 14, Block IX, Patetere North Survey District, and Section 3, Block V, Patetere North Survey District, Pokaiwhenua and Huihuitaha No. 1 Block, Section 1, Block IX, Patetere North Survey District, and Sections 17, 18, 19, and 9, Block XII, Maungatautari Survey District, and terminating at a point at the eastern end of the Arapuni Dam, being a distance of 9 miles 76 chains, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 71599, and thereon coloured blue.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 4.
Tokomaru-Mata.—All that road or portion of road in the Waiapu County commencing at its junction with the Gisborne-Opotiki via Coast Main Highway at a point on the eastern boundary, Lot 1, Tokomaru Block in Block 7, Tokomaru Survey District, and proceeding generally in a north-westerly direction, and terminating at a point in Section 5, Tokomaru Block 7, Tokomaru Survey District, being a distance of 4 miles, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 71571, and thereon coloured red.
Takapau-Ihungia.—All that road or portion of road in the Waiapu County commencing at its junction with the Gisborne-Opotiki via Coast Main Highway at a point in Section A 17, Block 11, Mata Survey District, and proceeding generally in a westerly direction, and terminating at a point opposite the boundary between Sections 2 and 3, Block 10, Mata Survey District, being a distance of 4 miles, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 71571, and thereon coloured red.
Tapuwaeroa Valley Road.—All that road or portion of road in the Waiapu County commencing at its junction with the Gisborne-Opotiki via Coast Main Highway at a point at the north-eastern corner of Section B Rotokautuku, No. 6 Block, Block 16, Mangaoporo Survey District, and proceeding generally in a north-westerly direction, and terminating at a point in Takamore Block, Block 15, Mangaoporo Survey District, being a distance of 3 miles, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 71571, and thereon coloured red.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 6.
Te Awamutu - Barton's Corner.—All that road or portion of road in the Otorohanga County commencing at the southern boundary, Kakepuku, No. 9B 5, in Block 9, Puniu Survey District, at the southern boundary of the Waipa County, and proceeding generally in a southerly direction via Ouruwhero Road, and terminating at its junction with the Kawhia to Auckland-Wellington via Kawa Main Highway, being a distance of 1 mile 40 chains, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 71547, and thereon coloured red.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 17.
Balclutha - Kaka Point via Otanomomo.—All that road or portion of road in the Clutha County commencing at the southern boundary of the Borough of Balclutha, and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction via Otanomomo and the Township of Molyneux, and terminating at the southernmost corner of Section 4, Block 2, South Molyneux Survey District, being a distance of 12 miles 40 chains, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 73353, and thereon coloured red.
Also that street or portion of street in the Balclutha Borough commencing at the junction of Main South Road and Barr Street, and proceeding generally in a southerly direction via the said Barr Street and Stewart Street; thence along the street passing between Blocks 8 and 9, Town of Balclutha, crossing Catlins Branch Railway; thence along the street following the right bank of the Koau Branch Clutha River, and terminating at the southern boundary of the Borough of Balclutha, being a distance of 46 chains, more or less. Shown on plan P.W.D. 71271, and thereon coloured blue.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington.

Declaring Streets in Highway District No. 18, Riverton Borough, to be Main Highways.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 10th day of October, 1928.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section three of the Main Highways Act, 1922, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth, from the date of gazetting of this Order in Council, hereby declare that the streets mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become main highways within the meaning and for the purpose of the Main Highways Act, 1922.
SCHEDULE.
INVERCARGILL-RIVERTON: All those streets or portions of streets in the Riverton Borough commencing at the north-eastern boundary of the Riverton Borough at Albany Street, and proceeding generally in a south-westerly direction via High Street, Downing Street, Palmerston Street, the Aparima River Bridge, and terminating at the western boundary of the Borough of Riverton, being a distance of 1 mile 60 chains, more or less: As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked P.W.D. 71281, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Lambton Road and Portion of Burns Terrace, in the Borough of Napier, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Napier Borough Council on the ninth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, viz.:—
“That the Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the Borough of Napier, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the undermentioned public streets, in the Borough of Napier, namely—
