Such entry shall comprise the same particulars as if the order were a maintenance order made by a Magistrate under the Destitute Persons Act, 1910.

There shall be written under such particulars the words “Entered in pursuance of section 8 of the Destitute Persons Amendment Act, 1926.”

Such entry shall be signed by the Magistrate.

There shall be written on the copy of the order the following minute:—
“ This Order has been registered in the Magistrate’s Court at this day of 19 , pursuant to section 8 of the Destitute Persons Amendment Act, 1926.” -
Such minute shall be signed by the Magistrate.

The copy of the order so minuted shall be retained and filed in the office of the said Magistrate’s Court in the like manner as a maintenance order made by a Magistrate under the Destitute Persons Act, 1910.

Upon registration of a copy of an order in manner aforesaid all payments due under the said order shall, unless a Magistrate shall upon such registration or at any time afterwards otherwise order, thereafter be made through the Clerk for the time being of the Magistrate’s Court in which such registration is effected.

License authorizing the Hikurangi Town Board to erect Electric Lines in Hikurangi Town District and Portion of the Whangarei County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of September, 1928.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Hikurangi Town Board (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”) to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric lines within the area of supply hereinafter defined; the electric lines at present proposed to be erected being indicated by yellow and green lines on the plan marked P.W.D. 72773, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
CONDITIONS.
- AREA OF SUPPLY.
THE area of supply comprises the Town District of Hikurangi as at present constituted, and also portion of the Whangarei County as shown on the said plan.
- PURPOSES OF LINES.
The said lines may be used for lighting, power, and heating purposes.
- LICENSE TO BE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS.
The license hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the regulations made under section 2 of the aforesaid Act on the 11th day of July, 1927, and published in the Gazette on the 12th day of the same month at page 2360 (hereinafter called “the said regulations”) and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution thereof.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
The system of supply shall be the system described in paragraph (e) of clause 5 of the said regulations.
- GENERATING VOLTAGE.
The generating voltage shall be approximately 400 volts between the terminals, stepped up to 3,300 volts for transmission.
- DURATION OF LICENSE.
This license shall, unless sooner determined, whether by surrender by the licensee or by revocation under the provisions contained in the said regulations or in any amending or substituted regulations, continue in force for a period of forty-two years from the date hereof.
- EFFECT OF DETERMINATION OF LICENSE.
The determination of this license, whether by expiration of time, by surrender, or by revocation as aforesaid shall not relieve the licensee from any liability theretofore incurred under this license.
- RAILWAY AND TELEGRAPH LINES.
The licensee shall, from time to time, rectify to the satisfaction of the Minister of Railways and Minister of Telegraphs, respectively, any interference or disturbance caused by the erection or operation of the licensee’s system that effects the satisfactory working of any telegraph-line which is under the control of or in use by the Railway Department and the Post and Telegraph Department, respectively, and which was erected before the erection of the lines hereby licensed.
- CHARGES FOR ELECTRICAL ENERGY.
The charges for electrical energy shall not exceed 1s. per unit for lighting purposes, and 6d. per unit for motor-power, heating, or cooking purposes: provided that “lighting purposes” shall include the operation of motor generators for lighting purposes; and provided further that if accounts are paid within fourteen days of due date the charges shall not exceed 9d. per unit for lighting purposes and 4½d. per unit for motor-power, heating, or cooking purposes.
- REQUIREMENTS OF WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained, the licensee shall not, by virtue of these presents, be entitled to lay, construct, put up, place, or use within the Whangarei County the electric lines hereby authorized except subject to such conditions, not inconsistent with the provisions of this license or of the said regulations or any regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, as may from time to time lawfully be imposed by the Whangarei County Council.

Land taken for Street Purposes in the City of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for street purposes, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington, as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 6·06 perches. Being portion of Lot 1, D.P. 1886, and being part Section 205 (Town of Wellington R.D.), (City of Wellington). (S.O. 2349.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 73095, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and edged purple.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of September, 1928.
