Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Lands other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of September, 1928.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, and by section one hundred and eleven of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913 (as amended by section eight of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1916), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of eighteen months the Order in Council dated the thirteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and gazetted the twenty-first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, prohibiting all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto, other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

Varying Close Season for Seals.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of September, 1928.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made under section five of the Fisheries Act, 1908, on the seventeenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and gazetted on the twentieth day of the same month, the close season for seals throughout New Zealand was extended for a period of three years from the twenty-seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight :

And whereas it is deemed expedient to vary the close season as so extended :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section five of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the close season as so extended shall not apply to the taking of seals from the island known as Campbell Island under any license issued by the Minister pursuant to the regulations made by the Governor-General in Council on the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 24 of the fifteenth day of the same month.

Declaring Portion of Road in Block X, Belmont Survey District, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of September, 1928.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.
