Notifying Lands in Southland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the twelfth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WALLACE COUNTY.—CLIFTON TOWNSHIP.

Suburban Land.

SECTION 25: Area, 1 acre 0 roods 11 perches. Upset price, £5.

Section 26: Area, 1 acre. Upset price, £5.

Section 38: Area, 1 acre 0 roods 12 perches. Upset price, £5.

Section 39: Area, 1 acre. Upset price, £5.

All level land, rather low-lying, but safe from ordinary floods.

Notifying Lands in Gisborne Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the nineteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Situated about eight miles from Te Araroa and from quarter to half a mile from stores and post-office, Hicks Bay, on road to Hicks Bay Freezing Works.

The sections are nearly level, the soil being of a sandy nature covered with scrub.

Sections 7, 8, and 9 include small parts of swamp, and Sections 10 to 19 are each about two-fifths swamp.

Opening Settlement Land in Southland Land District for Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the tenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Wallace County.—Wairaki Survey District.—Beaumont Settlement.

SECTION 2, Block XXIII: Area, 351 acres 2 roods 8 perches. Capital value, £860. Half-yearly rent, £21 10s.

Weighted with £85, valuation for improvements consisting of fencing and outbuildings, payable in cash.

The improvements included in the capital value consist of 67 chains of fencing valued at £21 3s.

Situated nine miles from Nightcaps Railway-station by good road. Land is level to undulating, and runs from light river-flat to medium quality; red tussock on the higher parts. Well watered. Close to school and post-office. Altitude, 590 ft. to 870 ft.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the seventeenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.

Grey County.—Town of Poerua.—Poerua Settlement.

SECTION I: Area, 3 roods 39·7 perches. Capital value, £25. Half-yearly rent, 12s. 6d.

Weighted with £5, valuation for fencing and clearing.

Section 2: Area, 3 roods 39·7 perches. Capital value, £20. Half-yearly rent, 10s.

Weighted with £3, valuation for fencing and clearing.

Section 3: Area, 3 roods 39·7 perches. Capital value, £20. Half-yearly rent, 10s.

Weighted with £3, valuation for fencing and clearing.

Section 4: Area, 3 roods 39·7 perches. Capital value, £20. Half-yearly rent, 10s.

Weighted with £3, valuation for fencing and clearing.

Section 5: Area, 3 roods 39·7 perches. Capital value, £20. Half-yearly rent, 10s.

Weighted with £3, valuation for fencing and clearing.

The Town of Poerua is a recent subdivision in the Poerua Settlement, and is situated about three miles from the Rotorua Railway-station by formed and metalled road. The sections occupy a dry situation, and will be found excellent for building-sites.
