2nd Lieutenant (on probation) K. E. Bullen, 2nd C Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 18th July, 1928.

2nd Lieutenant E. R. Blackwell, 1st Battalion, is seconded for duty with the 6th C Battalion, with his original seniority. Dated 7th June, 1928.

2nd Lieutenant H. R. Haeusler, from the Waikato Mounted Rifles, to be 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Battalion. Dated 4th July, 1928.

The Wellington Regiment.

Lieutenant J. R. Grigg, 3rd C Battalion, is transferred to the Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment. Dated 13th July, 1928.

2nd Lieutenant A. T. McL. Scott ceases to be seconded to the 2nd C Battalion, and is posted to the 1st Battalion, with his original seniority. Dated 16th July, 1928.

2nd Lieutenant C. C. Campbell, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Hawke’s Bay Regiment. Dated 6th July, 1928.

The Wellington West Coast Regiment.

Lieutenant A. C. E. Loadsman, 2nd C Battalion, to be Captain. Dated 9th May, 1928.

With reference to the notice published in the N.Z. Gazette No. 23/28 of 15th March, 1928, relating to the transfer of 2nd Lieutenant R. T. Tidswell for the words “1st Battalion” read “4th C Battalion.”

The Hawke’s Bay Regiment.

Lieutenant J. H. Conly ceases to be seconded to the 4th C Battalion, and is seconded for duty with the 3rd C Battalion, with his original seniority. Dated 14th July, 1928.

2nd Lieutenant H. G. Witters ceases to be seconded to the 4th C Battalion, and is posted to the 1st Battalion, with his original seniority. Dated 14th July, 1928.

2nd Lieutenant C. C. Campbell, from the Wellington Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority as from the 14th September, 1927, and is seconded for duty with the 2nd C. Battalion. Dated 6th July, 1928.

Waipa River Road Special-rating Area.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Otorohanga, taken on the 29th day of June, 1928, on the proposal of the Otorohanga County Council to borrow the sum of £600 for widening and metalling the left bank of the Waipa River Road from end of present metalling at west boundary of Section Rangitoto No. 33B 2, Block X, Mangaorongo Survey District, to its junction with the Waimahora Road, along frontage of Rangitoto A Section 45B 2B, Block XV, Mangaorongo Survey District, the number of votes recorded were : For the proposal, 16 ; against the proposal, nil.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Dated this 2nd day of July, 1928.
