Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Beachlands Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of July, 1928.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Thomas Davidson,
William Fellows Grove,
Alfred John Harris,
Herbert Stephen Liddell, and
Peter Joseph Liddell
to be the Beachlands Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, at half-past two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, North Auckland, at Auckland, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
BEACHLANDS DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Manukau County, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 1 rood 38·2 perches, more or less, being Lots 40 and 1130 on Deeds Plan 619, being portion Allotment 44, Parish of Maraetai; Lots 108, 114, 157, 167, 175, and 1131 on Deeds Plan 619, being portion of Allotment 17, Parish of Maraetai. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 1/875, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Order in Council prescribing the Rates of Interest that may be paid by the Central Electric-power Board in respect of the Sum of £15,000, being Portion of a Loan of £65,000, and fixing the Term thereof.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of July, 1928.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Central Electric-power Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) has been authorized to borrow, in respect of a loan to be known as “Electric Works Loan, 1926,” the sum of sixty-five thousand pounds (£65,000) whereof the sum of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000) has not yet been borrowed:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by section one hundred and fourteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said section”), to the borrowing by the said local authority of the said sum of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000) for the term hereinafter mentioned, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said section, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby prescribe that the said sum of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000) may be raised in respect of the said loan by the said local authority for a term of twenty (20) years, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds twelve shillings and sixpence (£5 12s. 6d.) per centum per annum, and the said local authority is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum accordingly.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Taradale Town Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) has been authorized to borrow, in respect of a loan to be known as “Workers Dwellings Loan, 1925,” the sum of ten thousand pounds (£10,000), whereof the sum of five thousand pounds (£5,000) has not yet been borrowed:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by section one hundred and fourteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said section”), to the borrowing by the said local authority of the said sum of five thousand pounds (£5,000) at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate hereinafter mentioned:

Naval Board constituted under the Naval Defence Act, 1913: Amendment.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of July, 1928.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section twenty-five of the Naval Defence Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby revoke an Order in Council of fourteenth March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, constituting a Naval Board, and do hereby make the following regulations to come into operation forthwith.
SCHEDULE.
NAVAL BOARD CONSTITUTED UNDER THE NAVAL DEFENCE ACT, 1913.

THE Naval Board shall be hereby constituted in and for the Dominion of New Zealand.

The Naval Board shall be composed of the Minister of Defence (President) and the following members:—
The Commodore Commanding the New Zealand Station as First Naval Member.
A Captain, Royal Navy, as the Second Naval Member.
The Secretary to the Commodore Commanding shall be appointed as Secretary to the Naval Board, but he shall not sit as a member of the Board. -
The Naval Board shall be charged with the control of all matters relating to the Naval Forces, upon the policy directed by the Minister, and shall have executive command of the Naval Forces. The Governor-General may delegate to the Naval Board the functions, and commission it to execute the office of Commander-in-Chief of the Naval Forces.

Except as prescribed, the members of the Naval Board shall act as a whole. The orders of the Board shall be issued over the signature of the Secretary, or such other official as the Board may authorize to act for him.

The Naval Board shall meet weekly, or as may be directed by the Minister, or, in his absence, by the Senior Naval Member
