No. 66, of the twenty-ninth day of the same month, regulations were made for trout-fishing in the Waimarino Acclimatization District and waters thereof:

And whereas it is desirable to amend the said regulations in the manner hereinafter described:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke clause two of the hereinbefore-recited regulations of the twenty-sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and doth substitute the following in lieu thereof:—

  1. Licenses in the form in the Second Schedule hereto available in the said acclimatization district may be issued at the following rates:—

Licenses for men: Twenty shillings for the whole season.

Licenses for women and for boys attending school or under the age of sixteen years: Five shillings for the whole season.

Licenses available for one week: Two shillings and sixpence.

Consenting to stopping Portions of Road in Block XI, Orahiri Survey District, Waitomo County.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of July, 1928.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waitomo County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

Cancelling a Condition as to setting back the Building-line on the Southern Side of Portion of Garfield Street, in the City of Wellington, imposed by Order in Council under Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1905.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of July, 1928.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the Order in Council dated the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 28 of the ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eight, exempting portions of Washington Avenue and Garfield Street in the City of Wellington from the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1905, subject to a condition as to the building-line, by cancelling the condition imposed by the said Order in Council in so far as such condition refers to the southern side of portion of Garfield Street fronting Lot 143, D.P. 392, being part Section 12, Ohirō R.D.

Directing Sale of Railway Land at Palmerston North under the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of July, 1928.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the thirtieth section of the Public Works Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work is not required for such public work, the Governor-General may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 5 acres 3 roods 10·9 perches.

Portion of railway reserve (Section 556, Town of Palmerston North), Block VII, Kairanga Survey District, Kairanga County. (S.O. 2325.)

In the Wellington Land District, as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 39778, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.

Domain Board appointed to have control of the Sefton Domain.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Harry William Ashby,
Abram Ashworth,
David Binnie,
George James,
Francis McGowan
Harold Rollinson, and
Robert Draper Wheeler,

to be the Sefton Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the thirteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Domain Pavilion, Sefton, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—SEFTON DOMAIN.

RESERVE 4049, formerly part of Sections 3135 and 6675, Block IV, Rangiora Survey District: Area, 14 acres 2 roods 16 perches.
