Proclaiming Road-lines laid out through Subdivisions of the Moehau and Waikanae Blocks, Auckland Land District, to be Public Roads.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto were by an order of the Native Land Court made on the fourth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, duly laid off as road-lines in pursuance of sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913 :

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-lines should be proclaimed as public roads, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the said Act :

And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-lines as public roads has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914 :

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-lines should be proclaimed as public roads :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and in so far as each of these sections is applicable, do hereby proclaim as public roads the road-lines described in the Schedule hereto.

Settlement Land set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim

and declare that the area of settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.


SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.

LOT 3 of Section 46s, Reporoa Settlement: Area, 122 acres 0 roods 30 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of of July, 1928.

Declaring that Portion of the Banks of the Whakatane River in the Whakatane Survey District, Whakatane County, shall be protected.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and eighty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,* do hereby proclaim and declare that the portion of the banks of the Whakatane River described in the Schedule hereto shall be protected.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of the banks of the Whakatane River, in the Auckland Land District, Whakatane County, commencing near the north-eastern corner of Section 29, Block I, Whakatane Survey District, and proceeding thence up the said river for a distance of approximately five miles to a point about two miles above the Whakatane concrete bridge. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 72300, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of July, 1928.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a street the land in the Borough of Takapuna described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the street described in the Second Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS A STREET.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a street : 3·2 perches.

Being portion of Lot 25 of Allotment 88, Parish of Takapuna ; coloured red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

STREET CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of street closed : 2·4 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Lot 25 of Allotment 88, Parish of Takapuna ; coloured green.
