to be Bailiff of the Magistrates’ Court at Dannevirke for the purposes of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1908, as from the 21st day of May, 1928.
John Kennedy,
to be Deputy Registrar at Wanganui of the Supreme Court of New Zealand for the purposes of the Judicature Act, 1908, as from the 13th day of June, 1928.

Grant of a Right to maintain and keep a Line of Pipes and a Masonry Culvert under the Railway-line and upon the Railway Land near Westfield in favour of R. and W. Hellaby, Limited.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908 ; and in the matter of a grant of a right to maintain and keep a line of pipes and a masonry culvert under the railway-line and upon railway land near Westfield to R. and W. Hellaby, Limited, as part compensation for land taken for railway purposes.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 7th day of January, 1926, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 5, of the 28th day of January, 1926, page 216, and registered in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland as No. 6365, all those pieces of land, containing in the aggregate an area of 15 acres 1 rood 21 perches, more or less, being Lots 18 and 19, D.P. 1063, of Fairburn’s Old Land Claim 269A, and part of Hamlin’s Grant, Block VI, Otahuhu Survey District, were taken for railway purposes :
And whereas part of the said land, containing an area of 17 perches, more or less, was revoked from the said Proclamation, and remains vested in the said R. and W. Hellaby, Limited :
And whereas the said R. and W. Hellaby, Limited, is the party entitled to the compensation payable for or in respect of the freehold interest in the balance of the said land so taken for railway purposes as aforesaid :
And whereas the Minister of Railways has agreed to grant to the said R. and W. Hellaby, Limited, the right to maintain and keep a line of earthenware pipes, 12 in. in diameter, and a masonry culvert, 2 ft. by 2 ft., under the railway-line and upon the railway land, as shown on the plan attached to the deed of easement, as part compensation for the land taken as aforesaid :
Now, therefore, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Railways, do hereby give notice, in pursuance of the provisions of section 84 of the Public Works Act, 1908, that a deed of easement for the grant of a right to maintain and keep a line of earthenware pipes and a masonry culvert as aforesaid, dated the 24th day of February, 1928, has been assented to by me.

Notice respecting Proposed Borough of Shoal Bay.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 19th June, 1928.
PURSUANT to section 131 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, it is hereby notified that a petition in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fifth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, praying that the said area may be constituted a borough under the said Act, by name the Borough of Shoal Bay. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed constitution, which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

PROPOSED BOROUGH OF SHOAL BAY.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Section 104, Parish of Takapuna, and proceeding thence along the southern side of Archer Road to the western side of Quebec Road ; thence along the western side of Quebec Road to and across Nile Road ; thence along the south-eastern side of Nile Road to the north-eastern side of Waterloo Road ; thence along the north-eastern side of Waterloo Road and its production to the south-eastern side of Shakespeare Road ; thence along the south-eastern side of Shakespeare Road to the north-eastern boundary of Section 89, Parish of Takapuna ; thence along that north-eastern boundary to Pupuke Lake : thence along the western and southern
