The following special order, passed by the Takaka County Council at a special meeting held on the 3rd day of April, 1928, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting held on the 5th day of June, 1928, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908.

SPECIAL ORDER.

That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, the Takaka County Council hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the plant mentioned in the Schedule hereto (being a plant mentioned in the Third Schedule to the said Act, as extended from time to time by the Governor-General in Council) is a noxious weed within the County of Takaka.

Details : The rear leading beacon light has been temporarily discontinued for the purpose of overhauling and readjustment.
Remarks : Further notice, conveying the date on which this light is to resume its functions, will be issued.

Position : Lat. 35° 57' S., long. 173° 52' E. (approx.). Details: A fixed red light at a height of 12 ft. (approx.) is exhibited at the south-eastern end of the Northern Wairoa Dairy Company's wharf at Mangawhare.

Sufferance Wharf appointed at Wellington.

In exercise of the powers vested in me for this purpose by section 23 of the Customs Act, 1913, I, George Craig, Comptroller of Customs, do hereby appoint the Burnham Wharf, within the Port of Wellington, as a sufferance wharf for the loading and unloading of—(a) motor spirits imported in bulk in ships' bottoms ; (b) goods which have been delivered from the control of the Customs; and (c) goods of New Zealand produce and manufacture.
