Land taken for the Purposes of a District High School in the Town District of Opunake.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a district high school, and shall vest in the Education Board of the District of Taranaki as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 9 acres 0 roods 27 perches.
Being Sections 37, 38, and 39, Town Belt, Town of Opunake.
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 72036, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of June, 1928.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Sanitary Depot in Block I, Whakatane Survey District, Whakatane County.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a sanitary depot, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Whakatane as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.

Being part Lot 30B 2E No. 1, Rangitaiki Parish.
Situated in Block I, Whakatane Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 24750.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 71786, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of June, 1928.

Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, to the Raising of a Loan by the Upper Hutt Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of June, 1928.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the Upper Hutt Borough Council of the sum of four hundred and seventy-five pounds for the purpose of providing the Council’s proportion of the cost of erecting a bridge, pursuant to a Warrant issued under section one hundred and nineteen of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to the following conditions:—
(1) The said sum may be borrowed for a term not exceeding thirty years.
(2) The Upper Hutt Borough Council shall, before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment of the said sum by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and by making to such sinking fund payments at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate which shall be not less than one and a half per centum, such payments to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for the time being so borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender is computed on any moneys so borrowed.

Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, to the Raising of a Loan by the Wellington City Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of June, 1928.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the Wellington City Council of the sum of ten thousand pounds (£10,000), to be known as the Relief of Unemployment Loan, 1928, for the purpose of the relief of unemployment by providing work on formation of Western Park, Nairnville Park, Kaiwarra Park, Lyall Bay Reserve, tree-planting on Town Belt, widening and formation of Glenmore Street, Tīnakori Road, Salamanca Road, Brooklyn Roads, Chaytor Street, the approaches to the Northland Tunnel, Point Halswell Road, and Wadestown Road, subject to the following conditions:—

That the said sum may be borrowed for a term not exceeding ten (10) years.

That the Wellington City Council shall, before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment of the said sum by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and by making to such sinking fund payments at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate which shall be not less than one pound (£1) per centum, such payments to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for the time being so borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender is computed on any moneys so borrowed.

That no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be paid out of loan-money.
