Notice respecting Proposed Constitution of Town District of
Plimmerton.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 25th January, 1928.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented
to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Town
Boards Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the
Schedule hereto may be constituted a town district under the
said Act by name of the Town District of Plimmerton. All
persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written
objections to or petitions against the constitution of the said
town district which they desire to lodge within one month
from the first publication of this notice, such objections or
petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs,
Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
PROPOSED TOWN DISTRICT OF PLIMMERTON.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the sea-coast at the northern
boundary of Section 80, Block 8, Paekakariki Survey District ;
then easterly and northerly along the said boundary to its
junction with the western boundary of Section 82, Block 8,
Paekakariki Survey District ; then along the said boundary
to its northernmost point ; then by a line across Taupo
Block Number 1, having a bearing of 317° 30′ to its inter-
section with the Pukerua Track ; then following this track
north-easterly to its intersection with Lot 9, D.P. 3811 ;
then generally following the outer boundaries of D.P.’s
3811, 2242, 5117, 5600, 6067, 5117, 5248, 4531, to the sea-coast ;
then generally south-easterly along the sea-coast to the point
of commencement.

Open Season for Deer-shooting, Tauranga Acclimatization
District.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals
Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, Francis Joseph
Rolleston, Acting Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby declare the period from the 31st
day of March, 1928, to the 30th day of April, 1928 (both days
inclusive), to be an open season in the Tauranga Acclimatiza-
tion District, described in the First Schedule hereto, for the
taking or killing of the following imported game—viz., red-
deer stags and hinds—subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.
-
LICENSES to take or kill red-deer stags and hinds may be
issued by the Postmaster at Tauranga, on payment of a license
fee of £2 2s., in the form prescribed in the Second Schedule
hereto, and subject to the said Act and regulations thereunder
and this notification. The number of licenses to be issued by
the said Postmaster shall not exceed fifteen: Provided that
not more than one such license shall be issued to the same
person. -
No licensee shall take or kill more than two red-deer stags
and one hind; no stag shall be killed carrying antlers with
less than eight points. Ball cartridge only to be used; provided
that no metal-patched or metal-cased bullets shall be used
for killing such deer. -
No fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext what-
ever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either
himself or any attendant he may have with him. -
Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing
any person to sell any deer or portion thereof. -
Regulations as to the use of marks of identification of
deer-heads contained in section 6 of the regulations under
the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, published in
the New Zealand Gazette of the 7th February, 1924, page
437, shall be strictly adhered to by each licensee, who, in
addition thereto, shall return all unused “tags” to the
Secretary of the Tauranga Acclimatization Society, Tauranga,
immediately he has finished stalking for the season for which
such “tags” have been issued, together with a statement of
the number of deer shot. -
Nothing in any license to take or kill red-deer stags and
hinds shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill red-deer
stags or hinds on lands actually and exclusively used by any
registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes,
or on any sanctuary or public domain, or on any land ex-
cepted from the operation of the notification declaring an open
season for the district. -
Any person committing a breach of these conditions is
liable, on conviction, to a fine of £20.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Auckland Land District commencing at
a point on the sea-coast due north of Trig. Station J1, in
Block IV, Waihi South Survey District, proceeding thence
due south to a point due east of Trig. Station Otane, Wainuku ;
then by a right line running due west to Trig. Station Otane,
Wainuku, aforesaid, and passing through that station to its
intersection with a line running between Trig. Station Pu-
whenua and Weraiti ; then by a right line to Trig. Station
Weraiti ; then by a right line to Waranunau ; then
north-westerly along the western boundary of Whakamarama
No. 2 to Trig. Station Mimiohanga ; then generally north-
westerly along the summit of the range and passing through
Te Ariariparitupu, Pukupenga Ngatamahinerua, and on to its
intersection with the confiscation boundary ; then south-
westerly along the confiscation boundary to Te Aroha Trig.
Station ; then by a right line to the mouth of the Waihi
