WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Waipukurau taken on the 16th day of May, 1928, on the proposal of the Waipukurau Borough Council to borrow the sum of £16,235 for improvements to footpaths, reforming and draining Ruataniwha Street, stormwater drainage, purchase of plant, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 185; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 57; informal, nil.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in Part I of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in Part II of the said Schedule.

PART II.--NAME OF CEMETERY AND DESCRIPTION OF LAND.
Cracroft Public Cemetery.
All that area in the Rangitata Survey District containing by admeasurement 1 acre 0 roods 1 perch, more or less, being the lot marked “Cemetery” on the plan deposited in the Land Registry Office, at Christchurch, as No. 2005, being part of Rural Section 16129, and being the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 217, folio 181.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 6th day of June, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Bruce Bay, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
