such special meeting; and no other business than that so
specified shall be transacted at such meeting.
4. Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum.
Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.
5. All questions shall be determined by the majority of
votes of the members of the Board present at the meeting.
6. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
time appointed for holding the same, the members present
shall choose one of their number to be Chairman for such
meeting.
7. If, by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the
seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any
member absents himself, without reasonable cause, from
three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-
General shall have power to appoint any other person to be
a member of the Board in his stead.
8. The Board shall prepare and submit at an annual meet-
ing to be held in the month of April in each year a report of
the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending
on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement
of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year.
A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the
Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister in Charge
of Scenery Preservation as soon as possible after each annual
meeting.
9. The Board shall control the said reserve in accordance
with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations
made thereunder.

MOTU SCENIC RESERVE.

Gisborne Land District.

SECTIONS 29, 34, 35, 36, and 38, Block II, Motu Survey
District: Area, 49 acres 2 roods 17 perches.

Warrant authorizing the Levels County Council to construct a
Bridge over the Pareora River on the Christchurch—Dunedin
Main Highway (together with Approaches thereto), and
apportioning the Cost.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by
section one hundred and nineteen of the Public Works
Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise
enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson,
Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby authorize the Levels County Council to construct
the bridge (together with approaches thereto) described in
the Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that the cost
thereof, less such contribution (if any) as may be made
thereto by the Government of New Zealand or the Main
Highways Board, shall be borne by the Levels County Council,
the Waimate County Council, the Timaru Borough Council,
and the Waimate Borough Council in the following propor-
tions, viz.: The Levels County Council shall pay twenty-
eight per centum, the Waimate County Council shall pay forty
per centum, the Timaru Borough Council shall pay twenty-
two per centum, and the Waimate Borough Council shall pay
ten per centum of such cost, respectively; and I do further
direct that any contribution hereby required to be made as
aforesaid by the Waimate County Council, the Timaru Borough
Council, and the Waimate Borough Council shall be paid from
time to time, in the proportions hereinbefore prescribed, out
of the funds of the said Councils, within a period of one month
after demand in writing made by or on behalf of the Levels
County Council; and all such payments shall be made from
time to time to the Clerk of the Levels County Council for and
on behalf of the said Councils.

SCHEDULE.

THAT bridge in the Canterbury Land District over the Pare-
ora River on the Christchurch—Dunedin Main Highway
(together with approaches thereto). As the site of the said
bridge is more particularly delineated on the plans marked
P.W.D. 70014 and 70822, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 12th day of June, 1928.

Delegating to the Waimairi County Council Powers in respect
to a Proposed Private Bridge in Block IV, Christchurch
Survey District.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority
vested in me by section one hundred and sixty-five of
the Counties Act, 1920, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson,
Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby delegate to the Waimairi County Council all the
powers vested in me by sections one hundred and sixty-three
and one hundred and sixty-four of the aforesaid Act in respect
to the bridge described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the
condition that any regulations desired to be made by the
Waimairi County Council under paragraphs (b), (c), and (d) of
section one hundred and sixty-four of the said Act shall be
subject to the approval of the Minister of Public Works.

SCHEDULE.

THAT proposed bridge in the Canterbury Land District over
the River Styx on a road running between Rural Sections 1075
and 1076, Block IV, Christchurch Survey District.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 6th day of June, 1928.
