Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject to the Land Act, 1921.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of Provisional State Forest Reserve 1692, set apart by Proclamation dated the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and gazetted on the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be a provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing approximately 1,050 acres, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve 1692, situated in Blocks VI, IX, and X, Arawata Survey District. Bounded towards the east by Run 25; towards the south-east generally by a line parallel to the right bank of the Jackson River, Saddle Creek East, and Saddle Creek West, at a distance of 15 chains therefrom in each case; towards the west by the left-hand branch of the Cascade (Martyr) River; and towards the north-west generally by a line parallel to Saddle Creek East, Saddle Creek West, and the north bank of Jackson River, at a distance of 5 chains therefrom in each case. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 8/7/46, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of June, 1928.

Land reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.


SCHEDULE.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—PENGUIN BAY SCENIC RESERVE.

SECTION 5, Block VIII, Orieri Survey District: Area, 870 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of June, 1928.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of stopped Government road declared to be Crown land: 1 acre 0 roods 29 perches. Adjoining or passing through part Allotment 4, Mangatawhiri Parish.

Situated in Block XII, Drury Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 24135.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 68973, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of June, 1928.
