Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street, in the City of Auckland, at Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of the land taken for the purposes of the Kaipara–Waikato Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Auckland City Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 22·8 perches. Portion of Railway Reserve, Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District, City of Auckland. (S.O. 24649, blue.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 39710, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of June, 1928.

Land set apart as an Endowment for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being a piece of road closed and being land which is adjacent to the endowment for primary education described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said endowment.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District containing by admeasurement 11 acres 0 roods 3 perches, more or less, being Section 37R, and being part of the road closed by Proclamation dated the 15th day of March, 1928, and published in the Gazette of the 22nd March, 1928, and being the parcel of land more particularly described as follows: Bounded towards the west by a public road, a distance of 550·6 links; towards the north-west by Section 37, Block IX, Eyre Survey District, a distance of 5359·5 links; towards the north-east by a closed road, a distance of 293·4 links; towards the south-east by Run 191c, Blocks X and VII, Eyre Survey District, a distance of 5657·8 links, to the point of commencement: Be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same are more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 20/343, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District containing by admeasurement 952 acres 2 roods 23 perches, more or less, being part of Section 37, Block IX, Eyre Survey District (permanently reserved as an endowment for primary education
