RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

Mangaone Riding Loan, £1,900.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Kairanga County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Kairanga County Mangaone Riding Culverts and Bridges Loan of £1,900, 1928, authorized to be raised by the Kairanga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of renewing three bridges in the Mangaone Riding—namely, Derby Creek Bridge, situated on the Kairanga-Bunnythorpe Road; Bullocky Creek Bridge, situated on Napier Road; and Mangaone Bridge, situated Roberts Line; the said Kairanga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nineteen four-hundred-and-fiftieths (19/450ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Mangaone Riding in the County of Kairanga, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.

Loan of £8,800.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges (if any) on a loan of £475 to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the construction of swimming-baths, for which a loan of £8,800 was previously raised, the said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixteenth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the annual value) of all rateable property within the City of Nelson, comprising the whole of the City of Nelson as defined by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly in one sum on the 23rd day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Loan of £8,000.
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges (if any) on a loan of £800, authorized to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the construction of a bridge for which a loan of £8,000 was previously raised, the said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the annual value) of all rateable property within the City of Nelson, comprising the whole of the City of Nelson as defined by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly in one sum on the 23rd day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Rotorua County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work—namely, the formation of a deviation of portion of the road known as Brice’s Road—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken in substitution for those pieces of land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which said last-mentioned pieces of land are portion of the old road. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and of the lands formerly the road which are to be revested in the owners in substitution thereof is deposited in the Public Office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate in French’s Buildings, Tutanekai Street, Rotorua, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands and closing of such portion of the road who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands or the closing of such portion of the road must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Newmarket Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized by the Newmarket Borough Council for relief of unemployment purposes, the Newmarket Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-farthings (¾d.) in the pound on the annual value of all the rateable property in the Borough of Newmarket, and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
