NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of sections 230 and 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of members of the above-named company will be held at Room 33, 3rd Floor, National Bank Chambers, Shortland Street, Auckland, on Tuesday, 5th June, 1928, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a general meeting of the above-mentioned company held at Waitanguru on Saturday, the 21st day of April, 1928, the following extraordinary resolution was passed :—

“ That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and that JOHN DOUGLAS VERNON, of Te Kuiti, Solicitor, be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

DENTAL INDEMNITY SOCIETY.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and its Amendments, and in the matter of DENTAL INDEMNITY SOCIETY.

NOTICE is hereby given that, by resolution duly passed on 20th April, 1928, and confirmed on 8th May, 1928, the above society went into voluntary liquidation, and appointed NORMAN ALEXANDER DUTHIE, of Auckland, Public Accountant, to be the Liquidator of the society.

All persons, firms, or corporations having claims against the said society are hereby required to forward particulars of same, together with proof of debt, in the prescribed form, to the Liquidator at the address given below, on or before 30th May, 1928.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and their Amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, street widening at Boulcott Street, in the City of Wellington—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or the taking of such land, should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington, containing 0·37 perches, be the same a little more or less, being part Section 479, Town of Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan above-mentioned, and being thereon coloured red.

THE ANGLO-FRENCH MANUFACTURING COMPANY, LIMITED.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and of THE ANGLO-FRENCH MANUFACTURING COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 9th day of May, 1928, presented to the Honourable Mr. Justice MacGregor, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by Dove and Randal, Limited, of Elliott Street, Auckland, a creditor of the said company, and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 25th day of May, 1928, at the hour of 10 o’clock in the forenoon, or as soon thereafter as counsel may be heard: And any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.
