Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Waitemata County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

COUNTY OF WAITEMATA.

Result of Proposal on Proposed Loan.

PURSUANT to the provision of section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1923, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Silverdale to Redvale Road Special Loan Area, in the County of Waitemata, was taken on the 27th day of April, 1928, on the proposal of the Waitemata County Council to borrow the sum of £4,000 for the purpose of completing a gap in the metalling on the Silverdale to Redvale Road in the Pukeatua Riding of the County of Waitemata, and the necessary formation, culvert, and bridge construction in connection therewith.

The number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal was 81; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 84; informal, 3.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal not being the necessary three-fifths required by the statute, I therefore declare that the proposal was lost.

Dated at Auckland, this 4th day of May, 1928.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries—Pleasant Point Town District.

Wellington, 16th May, 1928.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, praying that the areas described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Pleasant Point Town District and included in the County of Levels. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.


SCHEDULE.

AREAS PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM PLEASANT POINT TOWN DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Rural Section 21800; thence along the northern boundary of that section and of Reserve No. 2811 to its easternmost corner; thence along a right line to the northernmost corner of Rural Section No. 10453; thence along the north-eastern boundary of that section to Butler’s Road; thence along the western side of the last-mentioned road to the south-western boundary of said Rural Section 10453; thence north-westerly along that boundary to the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 10174; thence along the south-eastern, south-western, and north-western boundaries of Rural Section 10174 to the southernmost corner of Rural Section 19684; thence along the western boundary of said Section 19684 to the south-eastern corner of Rural Section 16698; thence along the southern boundary of said Rural Section 16698 to the Opihi Bridge Road; thence northerly along the eastern side of that road to the north-western corner of Rural Section 21800, the place of commencement.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded on the north-west by Rural Section 6894, on the north-east by the Tengawai Bridge Road, on the south-east by Rural Section 4838, and on the south-west by Maze’s Road, and being Rural Section 6331.

Notice respecting Proposed Borough of New Lynn.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 16th May, 1928.

PURSUANT to section 131 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, it is hereby notified that a petition in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fifth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, praying that the said area may be constituted a borough under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed constitution which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

PROPOSED BOROUGH OF NEW LYNN.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line along the southern and western sides of Whau Creek from the north-western corner of Section No. 139, Parish of Waikomiti to the middle of Portage Road, near the north-eastern corner of Section 274, Parish of Waikomiti; thence along the middle of Portage Road to Grandison Road; thence along the middle of Grandison Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section No. 280, Parish of Waikomiti; thence along a right line to the south-western corner of that section; thence along the south-western boundary of the said Section No. 280 and the south-western and north-western boundaries of Section No. 270, Parish of Waikomiti, to the middle of the road forming the south-western boundary of Block X, Hetana Hamlet; thence along the middle of that road, and along the middle of the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Block IX to the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 5, Block XII, Hetana Hamlet; thence along the north-eastern boundary of that section to its northernmost corner; thence along the northern boundary of the said Section No. 5 and north-eastern boundary of Section No. 4 to its northernmost corner; thence across a road to the easternmost corner of Section No. 11, Block XI, Hetana Hamlet; thence along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 11 and 4, said Block XI, to the northernmost corner of the latter section; thence across a road to the easternmost corner of Section No. 138, Parish of Waikomiti; thence along the north-eastern boundary of that section to Section No. 141; thence along the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section to its easternmost corner; thence along a right line to the middle of the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 158; thence along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section No. 159, Parish of Waikomiti; thence to the southernmost corner of that section, and along its south-western and western boundaries to the railway reserve; thence along the southern side of the railway reserve to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 162; thence across the railway reserve, and along the said south-eastern boundary of Section No. 162 and its production to the middle of the road at its north-eastern corner; thence along the middle of that road to the road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 192 and 196; thence along the middle of the last-mentioned road to Section No. 89, Parish of Waikomiti;
