Notice respecting Proposed Constitution of Te Kauwhata Town
District.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 15th May, 1928.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented
to His Excellency the Governor-General under the
Town Boards Act, 1908, praying that the area described in
the Schedule hereto may be constituted a town district.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any
written objections to or petitions against the proposed con-
stitution which they desire to lodge within one month from
the first publication of this notice, such objections or peti-
tions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs,
Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
PROPOSED TOWN DISTRICT OF TE KAUWHATA.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District in the Wha-
ngamarino Parish and Maramarua Survey District, Waikato
County, containing 1,175 acres, bounded by a line com-
mencing at the north-western corner of Allotment 343, Whanga-
marino Parish, and thence proceeding along the northern
boundaries of Allotments 343, 344, 345, and 346, Whanga-
marino Parish, to Allotment 347, Whangamarino Parish;
thence along the western, northern, and eastern boundaries
of Allotment 347, Whangamarino Parish, to the Waerenga
Road; thence by a right line across the aforesaid road to the
north-west corner of Suburban Section 6, Te Kauwhata
Township; thence along the northern boundary of Suburban
Section 6 aforesaid; thence along the eastern boundaries of
Suburban Sections 6 and 12, Te Kauwhata Township, the
eastern extremity of Mahi Road, and the eastern boundaries
of Suburban Sections 18 and 24, Te Kauwhata Township, to
Pa Street; thence along the eastern side of Pa Street to the
south-east corner of Suburban Section 27, Te Kauwhata
Township; thence westerly generally along the southern
boundaries of Suburban Sections 27 and 26, Te Kauwhata
Township, the southern extremity of Rimu Street, the southern
and western boundaries of Suburban Section 25, Te Kau-
whata Township, the southern side of Moana Road, the
southern boundaries of Town Sections 56, 55, 54, and 53,
Te Kauwhata Township, the southern extremity of Wira
Street, the eastern and southern boundaries of Allotment 514,
Whangamarino Parish, and the latter boundary produced to
the Main Trunk Railway; thence northerly along the eastern
side of the aforesaid railway to its intersection by the Te
Kauwhata Station Road; thence along the southern side of
the aforesaid road to its junction with the Great South Road;
thence northerly along the eastern side of the Great South
Road to the western corner of Section 20, Block XV, Mara-
marua Survey District; thence along the north-western
boundary of Section 20, the western boundary of part Section
19, the western and northern boundaries of Section 21 and
the northern boundaries of Sections 18 and 17, all of Block
XV, Maramarua Survey District, to the Main Trunk Railway;
thence southerly along the western side of the aforesaid
railway to the south-eastern corner of Section 9, Block XV,
Maramarua Survey District; thence by a right line across
the Main Trunk Railway to the north-west corner of Allot-
ment 343, Whangamarino Parish, the place of commencement.

Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Waitara, the County
of Clifton, and the Tikorangi Riding of the County of
Clifton.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 141 of the Muni-
cipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the
Borough of Waitara are hereby defined as set out in the
First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough
having been altered by Order in Council dated the 29th day
of March, 1928, made under the Municipal Corporations Act,
1920, and published in Gazette No. 27, of the 29th day of
March, 1928.
And also in pursuance of the provisions of the said section
141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries
of the County of Clifton affected by the said Order in
Council dated the 29th day of March, 1928, are hereby defined
as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.
And in further pursuance of the provisions of the said
section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the
boundaries of the Tikorangi Riding of the County of Clifton
affected by the said Order in Council dated the 29th day
of March, 1928, are hereby defined as set out in the Third
Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF WAITARA.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a
line commencing at a point at low-water mark of the sea in
line with the western boundary of A 2, part Reserve A,
Block I, Paritutu Survey District; thence easterly along
low-water mark of the sea to the northern end of the training-
wall on the western side of the mouth of the Waitara River;
thence south-easterly along the western side of the said wall
to high-water mark; thence in a southerly direction along
high-water mark to a point in line with the southern side of
Howard Street; thence by a right line to and along the
southern side of Howard Street to the westernmost corner of
Section 1, Waitara East District, Block I, Waitara Survey
District; thence by Sections 1, 2, 5, and 7, said Waitara
East District, to Elliot Street; thence by the western side
of Elliot Street to the north-eastern corner of Section 23,
Waitara East District; thence along the northern and
western boundaries of that section and Section 28, Waitara
East District, to the northernmost corner of Section 32;
thence by the north-western boundary of that section to
and across Princess Street to the northernmost corner of
Section 31, said Waitara East District; thence by the
western side of Princess Street to a point in line with the
line dividing Subdivision 2, as shown on plan 3617, deposited
in the office of the District Land Registrar at New Plymouth;
thence westerly along a right line to a point 400 links distant
from the western side of Princess Street; thence by a line
parallel to and distant 400 links from the western side of
Princess Street to the southernmost corner of Lot 2 on plan
4778, deposited as aforesaid; thence by the south-western
boundaries of Lots 1 and 2, plan 4778 aforesaid, and Lot 1
on plan 4783, deposited as aforesaid to the westernmost
corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along a line
being the production of the aforesaid south-western boundary
of Lot 1 on said plan 4783 to the north-western boundary of
Section 13, Waitara East District; thence along the north-
western boundaries of Sections 13 and 12, Waitara East
District, to the western boundary of the last-mentioned
section; thence by the western boundary of Section 12 and
the north-western boundary of Section 14 to the eastern
side of the Manukorihi Road; thence by the eastern side of
that road to the angle on the western side of Section 24,
Waitara East District; thence across Manukorihi Road to
the Waitara River and by the right bank of that river to a
point due east of the confluence of the Mangahinau Stream
with the Waitara River; thence by a right line across the
Waitara River to and by the said Mangahinau Stream to
the western side of Nelson Street, by the western side of
Nelson Street to the northernmost corner of Section 29,
Waitara West District; thence by the northern boundary
of that section to the western side of the WaitaraβNew Ply-
mouth Railway; thence by that railway to the western
boundary of Section 25, Waitara West District; thence by
that boundary and the western side of Ranfurly Street,
across Raleigh Street, to the north-eastern corner of Sec-
tion 16, Waitara West District; thence by that section and
Section 15 to Johnston Street, across Johnston Street, and
by its western side to a point in line with the northern
boundary of Section 12, Waitara West District; thence to
and along that boundary to the south-western corner of
Section 9, Waitara West District; thence by the western
and northern boundaries of the said Section 9 to the western
side of Ranfurly Street; thence by the western side of
Ranfurly Street to the southern side of Battiscombe Terrace;
thence south-westerly by the southern side of Brown Road
to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 136,
Block I, Paritutu Survey District; thence across Brown
Road to and by the western boundary of Section 136 afore-
said, and A 2, part Reserve A, to low-water mark of the sea,
the place of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF CLIFTON.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a
line commencing at the mouth of the Mokau River, and
proceeding thence up the middle of that river to a point in
