for disposal under the section of the Act mentioned.

Warrant authorizing the Glen Eden Town Board to reconstruct that Portion of the West Coast Road (including Bridges and Culverts thereon) within the Town District of Glen Eden, and apportioning the Cost.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by
section five of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1927,
and section one hundred and nineteen of the Public Works
Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise
enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson,
Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby authorize the Glen Eden Town Board to reconstruct
that portion of the West Coast Road (including bridges and
culverts thereon) within the Town District of Glen Eden (as
more particularly described in the Schedule hereto); and I
do also hereby declare that the cost thereof, less such con-
tribution (if any) as may be made thereto by the Government
of New Zealand or the Main Highways Board, shall be borne
by the Glen Eden Town Board, the Auckland City Council,
and the Waitemata County Council in the following pro-
portions—viz., the Glen Eden Town Board shall pay seventy-
five per centum (75%), the Auckland City Council shall pay
fifteen per centum (15%), and the Waitemata County Council
shall pay ten per centum (10%) of such cost respectively;
and I do further direct that any contribution hereby required
to be made as aforesaid by the Auckland City Council and
the Waitemata County Council shall be paid from time to
time in the proportions hereinbefore prescribed out of the
funds of the said Councils, within a period of one month
after demand in writing made by or on behalf of the Glen
Eden Town Board, and all such payments shall be made
from time to time to the Clerk of the Glen Eden Town Board
for and on behalf of the said Councils.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of the West Coast Road (including bridges
and culverts thereon) within the Town District of Glen Eden,
North Auckland Land District, commencing at its junction
with the Great North Road on the eastern boundary of the
Glen Eden Town District, and proceeding thence in a westerly
direction generally through the said district to the western
boundary of the said district. As the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 66800,
deposited in the Office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 10th day of May, 1928.

Amalgamation of Regimental Districts.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority
conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its
amendments, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
amend in the manner and to the extent set forth in the
Schedule hereto the notice published in the New Zealand
Gazette of the ninth June, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-one, relative to the constitution of Military Com-
mands and Regimental Districts, and do hereby declare that
the amendment hereby made shall take effect as from the
first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
eight.
SCHEDULE.
NORTHERN COMMAND.
THE paragraphs relating to Nos. 1 and 3 Regimental Districts
are hereby revoked, and such Regimental Districts are hereby
amalgamated into one Regimental District as follows:—
No. 1 Regimental District: Headquarters, Auckland.
All that area comprising the counties of Mongonui, Wha-
garoa, Hokianga, Bay of Islands, Hobson, Whangarei,
Otamatea, Rodney, Waitemata, and Eden, together with
the City of Auckland and all boroughs and town districts
situated within the boundaries of those counties, also the
Great Barrier and Little Barrier Islands, and all islands in
the Hauraki Gulf.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 12th day of May, 1928.
