NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.
NOTICE is hereby given that I, HECTOR CHARLES GOSS,
of Lower Hutt, near the City of Wellington, Builder,
and lately called “Hector Carl Samuel Goss,” have this day
executed a certain deed poll (intended to be enrolled in the
Supreme Court of New Zealand) whereby I have renounced
the use of my christian names “Hector Carl Samuel,” and
in lieu thereof have assumed and adopted the christian names
of “Hector Charles.”

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of
all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Stratford
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Stratford
Borough Streets Reconstruction Redemption Loan of £7,076,
1928, authorized to be raised by the Stratford Borough
Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
redeeming that portion of the Stratford Borough Streets Re-
construction Loan of £15,000, 1918, which matures on the lst
day of March, 1928, the said Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of five-twelfths (5/12ths) of a penny in the pound
sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of
Stratford, and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty
(20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of
all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wairarapa
South County Council hereby resolves as follows :
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Wairarapa
South County General Flood Damage Loan of £1,000, 1926,
authorized to be raised by the Wairarapa South County Coun-
cil under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repairing
damage and for general losses caused by an extraordinary flood
which occurred in December, 1924, to Hinaki Bridge, Belve-
dere Road; White Bridge, Belvedere Road ; Nix’s Road
Bridge ; Booth’s Creek Bridge, Gladstone Road ; Waipoapoa
Bridge, East Coast Road ; the said Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one-eightieth (1/80th) of a penny in the
pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the
County of Wairarapa South, and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty
(20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE A. W. ROE TIMBER COMPANY, LTD.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter

NOTICE is hereby given that on 17th April, 1928, the
company passed a special resolution requiring the
company to be wound up voluntarily, and appointing JOSEPH
HEWITT BUDDLE, of Rotorua, Public Accountant, Liquidator.

In the matter of a Private Bill intended to be brought
into the General Assembly of New Zealand to be intituled
the Christ’s College (Canterbury) Act, 1928, for the
purpose of vesting a certain parcel of land in the said
Christ’s College (Canterbury), freed from certain restric-
tions and reservations to which such parcel of land is
now subject.
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of
the Standing Orders of the General Assembly of New
Zealand relating to Private Bills, that application will be
made to the General Assembly in Parliament assembled at
its next session, on behalf of Christ’s College, Canterbury, for
leave to introduce a Private Bill to be called the Christ’s
College (Canterbury) Act, 1928.
The object of the said proposed Bill is the vesting in Christ’s
College, Canterbury, of a certain parcel of land containing
nine acres three roods, more or less, upon which the College
buildings now stand, freed from the proviso in the original
deed of grant of the 24th day of February, 1857, and from
the liability of the said parcel of land to revert to His Most
Gracious Majesty the King as in such proviso is mentioned or
indicated.
A copy of the proposed Bill will be deposited at the
Examiner’s Office, Wellington, on the 31st day of May, 1928.

1928, the above-named company confirmed and passed
as a special resolution the resolution following, viz. :-
“ That the company be wound up voluntarily.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately
carried on by the undersigned at 267 High Street,
Christchurch, as Hairdressers and Tobacconists, under the
style or firm of “ Fuller and McNamara ” is hereby dissolved
as from the day of the date hereof. All accounts due by
and owing to the late firm will be paid and received by Teresa
McNamara, who will carry on the said business on her own
account and under her own name at the above address.
