Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, to the Raising of a Loan by the Masterton Fire Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 29th day of March, 1928.

Present :

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the Masterton Fire Board of the sum of two thousand pounds for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in connection with a loan of three thousand five hundred pounds, subject to the following conditions :—

  1. That the term for which the loan is borrowed shall not exceed ten years.

  2. That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said loan shall not exceed six pounds per centum per annum.

  3. That the local authority shall, before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund of not less than ten pounds per centum per annum, calculated on the amount raised.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan by the Geraldine County River Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 29th day of March, 1928.

Present :

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Geraldine County River Board has obtained, in terms of section fourteen of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, exemption from the requirements of that Act in respect of the Waihi River District Loan of three thousand seven hundred pounds :

And whereas application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the said local authority to borrow the sum of three thousand seven hundred pounds, and it is expedient that such precedent consent should issue :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of three thousand seven hundred pounds by the Geraldine County River Board, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said loan.

Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, to the Raising of a Loan by the Foxton Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 29th day of March, 1928.

Present :

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the Foxton Borough Council of the sum of eight hundred and fifty pounds for the purpose of meeting the Council’s proportion of the cost of erecting the Shannon Bridge, subject to the condition that the local authority shall repay the said sum by annual instalments of not less than one hundred pounds for the first eight years, and the balance in the ninth year.

Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, to the Taranaki Electric-power Board borrowing by way of Bank Overdraft a Sum of £6,200.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of March, 1928.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Taranaki Electric-power Board borrowing by way of bank overdraft, pursuant to section seventy of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, a sum not exceeding six thousand two hundred pounds as at the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.
