Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto the regulations under the said Act (hereinafter referred to as the said regulations) made on the twenty-third day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and published in the Gazette of the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.
SCHEDULE.
Form No. 6 in the said regulations is hereby amended as follows:—
By deleting the heading “Under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Amendment Act, 1915,” and substituting the words “Under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and amendments.”
By inserting, in place of the words “interest at the rate of 5 per centum,” in clauses 8 and 9 thereof, the words “interest at the rate of pounds per centum.”

Approving the Term of the License granted to the Waipa Coal Distributors, Limited, for a Tramway across Maria Place, in the City of Wanganui.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Tramways Act, 1908, and the Tramways Amendment Act, 1910, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the term of the license granted for a period of twenty-one years from the date hereof by the Wanganui City Council to the Waipa Coal Distributors, Limited, authorizing the said company to construct and maintain a private tramway across the street known as Maria Place, in the City of Wanganui, the position of such tramway and street being more particularly shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 71115, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Warden under the Mining Act, 1926, appointed.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of March, 1928.

WHEREAS by section nine of the Mining Act, 1926, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, appoint fit persons to be Wardens, who shall hold office during the Governor-General’s pleasure:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by the said section nine of the Mining Act, 1926, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
John Hector Luxford, Esquire,
to be a Warden, to hold and exercise the duties of such office under and subject to the provisions of the said Act during pleasure, on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight.

to be the Ongarue Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, at two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Hall, Ongarue, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Making Regulations under the Census and Statistics Act, 1926.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Census and Statistics Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations.
REGULATIONS.
- THESE regulations may be cited as the Banking Statistics Regulations, 1928.
- In these regulations, where not inconsistent with the context,—
“Bank” means any bank carrying on business in New Zealand within the meaning of the Banking Act, 1908:
“General Manager” means the principal officer of a bank in charge of the business of the bank in New Zealand, and includes any person acting in the name or on behalf of such principal officer:
“Week” means the weekly period computed up to the close of the bank’s business on Monday in each week. - The form in which the particulars of statistics relating to banking shall, pursuant to the Census and Statistics Act, 1926, from time to time be collected shall be the form set out in the Schedule hereto.
- The general manager of every bank shall, in respect of every week commencing with the week ending on the 9th day of April, 1928, furnish the particulars indicated in the said form to the Statistician not later than twelve days after the end of the week to which such particulars relate.
- The general manager shall certify the particulars so furnished as being complete and correct by signing the certificate contained in the said form.
- The particulars contained in the said form shall be supplied in accordance with any instructions issued by the Statistician contained in or accompanying or having reference to the said form,
