THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Franklin Electric-power Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

FRANKLIN ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the constituent district of part Raglan County within the Franklin Electric-power District was taken on the 18th January, 1928, on the proposal of the Franklin Electric-power Board to borrow the sum of £34,820 for the purpose of supplying and distributing electric energy for the benefit of the above-mentioned constituent district. The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ninety-seven; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was nine.

I therefore declare the proposal carried.

Redefining Boundaries of the Boroughs of South Invercargill and Invercargill, and the Main Ward of the Borough of South Invercargill.

Wellington, 9th February, 1928.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Borough of South Invercargill are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by Order in Council dated the 13th day of December, 1927, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and published in Gazette No. 87 of the 22nd day of December, 1927.

And also in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Borough of Invercargill affected by the said Order in Council dated the 13th day of December, 1927, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

And in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Main Ward of the Borough of South Invercargill affected by the said Order in Council dated the 13th
