Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926,
to the Raising of a Loan by the Hastings Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day
of December, 1927.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans
Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby consent to the borrowing by the Hastings Borough
Council of the sum of ten thousand one hundred pounds for
waterworks, subject to the following conditions:—

  1. The said sum may be borrowed for a term not exceeding
    thirty-six and a half years.
  2. The Hastings Borough Council shall, before borrow-
    ing the said sum or any part thereof, make provision
    for the repayment of the said sum by establishing a
    sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,
    and by making to such sinking fund payments at
    intervals of not more than one year, at a rate which
    shall be not less than one per centum, such payments
    to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for
    the time being so borrowed and not repaid, and the
    first payment to be made not later than one year after
    the first day from which interest to the lender is com-
    puted on any moneys so borrowed.
  3. That no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be
    paid out of loan-moneys.

to the Waitaki Hospital Board borrowing £17,250 for capital
expenditure.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans
Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waitaki Hospital
Board borrowing a sum of seventeen thousand two hundred
and fifty pounds for the purpose of capital expenditure,
subject to the following conditions:—

  1. That the said loan may be borrowed for a term not
    exceeding six years.
  2. That the Hospital Board shall repay the said loan by
    annual instalments of not less than three thousand
    pounds.

to the Raising of a Loan by the Thames Harbour Board.

COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans
Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the
Thames Harbour Board of the sum of six thousand pounds
for the construction of harbour works, subject to the follow-
ing conditions:—

  1. The said sum may be borrowed for a term not exceeding
    twenty years.
  2. The Thames Harbour Board shall, before borrowing
    the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for
    the repayment of the said sum by establishing a
    sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,
    and by making to such sinking fund payments at
    intervals of not more than one year, at a rate which
    shall be not less than one per centum, such payments
    to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for
    the time being so borrowed and not repaid, and the
    first payment to be made not later than one year after
    the first day from which the interest to the lender is
    computed on any moneys so borrowed.
  3. That no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be paid
    out of loan-moneys.

1926, to the Raising of a Loan by the Putaruru Town
Board.

December, 1927.

COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans
Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the
Putaruru Town Board of the sum of seven thousand five
hundred pounds for road and footpath construction and
improvements to reserves, subject to the following con-
ditions:—

  1. The said sum may be borrowed for a term not exceed-
    ing twenty-one years.
  2. The Putaruru Town Board shall, before borrowing the
    said sum or any part thereof, make provision for
    the repayment of the said sum by establishing a
    sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
    1926, and by making to such sinking fund payments
    at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate
    which shall be not less than two and three-quarters
    per centum, such payments to be made in respect
    of every part of the said sum for the time being so
    borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to
    be made not later than one year after the first day
    from which interest to the lender is computed on
    any moneys so borrowed.
  3. That no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be paid
    out of loan-money.

Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-

the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the
Johnsonville Town Board of the sum of one thousand eight
hundred and sixty pounds for the purpose of redeeming the
outstanding balance of a loan of three thousand pounds:—
