- The said sum may be borrowed for a term not exceed-
ing twenty years : - The Johnsonville Town Board, shall, before borrowing
the said sum or any part thereof, make provision
for the repayment of the said sum by establishing
a sinking fund under the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1926, and by making to such sinking fund payments
at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate
which shall be not less than three per centum, such
payments to be made in respect of every part of the
said sum for the time being so borrowed and not
repaid, and the first payment to be made not later
than one year after the first day from which the
interest to the lender is computed on any moneys so
borrowed.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of
December, 1927.

COUNCIL.
WHEREAS each of the local authorities mentioned in
the Schedule hereto has obtained, in terms of section
fourteen of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926,
exemption from the requirements of that Act in respect of
the loans mentioned in the said Schedule :
And whereas application has been made under section
twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the
precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to
enable the said local authorities to borrow the sums set
out in the said Schedule, and it is expedient that such precedent
consent should issue :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter
mentioned by the local authorities set out in the Schedule
hereto, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council
is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance
Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the
Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said loans.

Ohura County Council—Otangiwai No. 2 Special- 2,500
rating District Loan (portion)
Ohura County Council — Harvey-Tokirima Special- 1,000
rating District Loan (portion)

1926, to the Raising of a Loan by the Waitomo Electric-
power Board.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans
Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the
Waitomo Electric-power Board of the sum of twenty thousand
pounds for electric works, subject to the following condi-
tions :—

The sum may be borrowed for a term not exceeding
thirty-six and a half years : -
The Waitomo Electric-power Board shall, before bor-
rowing the said sum or any part thereof, make
provision for the repayment of the said sum by
establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies'
Loans Act, 1926, and by making to such sinking
fund payments at intervals of not more than one
year, at a rate which shall be not less than one per
centum, such payments to be made in respect of
every part of the said sum for the time being so
borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to
be made not later than one year after the first
day from which interest to the lender is computed
on any moneys so borrowed : -
That no portion of sinking fund shall be paid out of
loan-money.

to the Raising of a Loan by the Otamatea County Council.

COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans
Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the
Otamatea County Council of the sum of three thousand three
hundred and fifty pounds for the purpose of reconstructing
sixteen bridges, subject to the following conditions :—

The said sum may be borrowed for a term not exceeding
thirty-six and a half years : -
The Otamatea County Council shall, before borrowing
the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for
the repayment of the said sum by establishing a
sinking fund under the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1926, and by making to such sinking fund payments
at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate
which shall be not less than one per centum, such
payments to be made in respect of every part of the
said sum for the time being so borrowed and not
repaid, and the first payment to be made not later
than one year after the first day from which interest
to the lender is computed on any moneys so borrowed : -
That no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be paid
out of loan-moneys.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans
Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the
Hastings Fire Board of the sum of five hundred pounds for the
purpose of alterations and additions to the Hastings Fire
Station, subject to the following conditions :—

The said sum may be borrowed for a term not exceeding
ten years : -
That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said
loan shall not exceed six per centum per annum : -
The Hastings Fire Board shall, before borrowing the said
sum or any part thereof, make provision for the
repayment of the said sum by establishing a sinking
fund under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and
