land Road, in the City of Wellington.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day
of December, 1927.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all
other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent
to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for
street purposes.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land permitted to be
taken:—
A. R. P. Being portion of
0 0 0·22 Lot 136, D.P. 1087 of Section 29 ; coloured
red.
0 0 0·11 Lot 137, D.P. 1087 of Section 29 ; coloured

Situated in Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey District

In the Wellington Land District ; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 70612,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.

Consenting under the Local Government Loans Board Act,
1926, to the Raising of a Loan by the Christchurch Tramway
Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day
of December, 1927.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans
Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling
him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the Christchurch
Tramway Board of the sum of three thousand pounds for
the purpose of extending and completing a road-metal quarry
at McCormack’s Bay, subject to the following conditions:—

  1. The sum may be borrowed for a term not exceeding
    fifteen years:
  2. The Christchurch Tramway Board shall, before borrowing
    the said sum or any part thereof, make provision
    for the repayment of the said sum by establishing
    a sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
    1926, and by making to such sinking fund payments
    at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate
    which shall not be less than four and five-eighths
    per centum, such payments to be made in respect
    of every part of the said sum for the time being
    so borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment
    to be made not later than one year after the first
    day from which interest to the lender is computed
    on any moneys so borrowed.
  3. That no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be
    paid out of loan-moneys.

Consenting under the Local Government Loans Act, 1926,
to the Raising of a Loan by the Christchurch Tramway

COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Local Government Loans
Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing of the
Christchurch Tramway Board of the sum of seven thousand
two hundred and fifty pounds for the purpose of recouping
the General Account in respect of amounts paid in connection
with the compulsory purchase of certain omnibuses under
the Motor-omnibus Traffic Act, 1926, subject to the following
conditions:—

  1. The said sum may be borrowed for a term not exceeding
    seven years:
  2. The Christchurch Tramway Board shall, before borrowing
    the said sum or any part thereof, make provision
    for the repayment of the said sum by establishing
    a sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
    1926, and by making to such sinking fund payments
    at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate
    which shall be not less than twelve and a half per
    centum, such payment to be made in respect of
    every part of the said sum for the time being so
    borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to
    be made not later than one year after the first
    day from which interest to the lender is computed
    on any moneys so borrowed.
  3. That no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be
    paid out of loan-moneys.
