Seventhly—9·7 perches, being part of the Ngatirahiri 7n Block (Block 11, Waitara Survey District); coloured blue on the said plans.

Plans of the land required to be taken as aforesaid are deposited for public inspection at the offices of the Clifton County Council, Waitara, and of Messrs. Stead and Prichard, Solicitors, Waitara.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said land, and to send such writing within forty days of the first publication of this notice to the Clifton County Council at its offices in West Quay, in the Town of Waitara.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and their amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of Wellington proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, for street purposes at Wadestown, in the City of Wellington—and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.

I, LEONARD DICKENSON, of Hastings, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Sawmill Employee, heretofore called and known by the name of “Leonard Smith,” do hereby give public notice that on the 24th day of November, 1927, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said surname “Smith,” and then assumed and adopted, and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Dickenson” instead of the name of “Smith”; and I give further notice that by a deed poll dated the 24th day of November, 1927, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand (Wellington District), Napier Registry, on the 28th day of November, 1927, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of “Smith,” and declared that I had assumed and adopted, and intended thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Dickenson” instead of “Smith,” and so as to be at all times hereafter called, known, and described by the name of DICKENSON exclusively.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangamarino Road Board proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Act and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of a road through part Lot four on plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 9588, being portions of Allotments 430, 431, and 504 of the Parish of Whangamarino, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken:

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Board at Te Kauwhata, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Whangamarino Road Board addressed to the Clerk at his said office.

THE SCHEDULE.

Area: One acre one rood nineteen decimal two five perches (1 acre 1 rood 19·25 perches), being part Lot four of portions of Allotments 430, 431, and 504 of the Parish of Whangamarino, coloured red on plan, deposited in the office of the said Board (No. 24648 in the office of the Department of Lands and Survey at Auckland), situate in Block X, Maramarua Survey District, in the Land District of Auckland; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan above-mentioned.
