Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Kairanga County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

KAIRANGA COUNTY COUNCIL.—MANGAONE RIDING.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Mangaone Riding of the County of Kairanga was taken on the 27th day of January, 1927, on the proposal to borrow the sum of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500) for the purpose of building and renewing bridges and culverts in the Mangaone Riding.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 22; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 16.

I therefore declare the proposal was lost.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Springs–Ellesmere Electric-power Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of Springs County, Ellesmere County, and Leeston Town District was taken on the 15th day of December, 1926, on the proposal of the Springs–Ellesmere Electric-power Board to borrow the sum of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000).

(1.) For the construction of electric works as defined by the Electric-power Boards’ Act, 1925, within the constituent district of Springs County and Ellesmere County, including the Leeston Town District and Southbridge Town District

Any unexpended balance to be used for any of the items noted hereunder shown as 2, 3, 4.

(2.) For the acquisition by the Board of certain rights of existing electrical works now in the Springs–Ellesmere Electric-power Board’s area
