NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between WALTER SPENCER ALLEN, ARTHUR HOLMS ROWSON, HEATHCOTE BEETHAM WILLIAMS, and ATHOLE STANLEY WEYMSS, carrying on business as Motor-garage Proprietors at Gisborne under the style or firm of “The Gisborne Garage,” has been dissolved by effluxion of time and mutual consent as from the 4th day of September, 1927, so far as concerns the said Athole Stanley Wemyss, who retires from the said firm. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the continuing partners, who will continue to carry on the said business under the style or firm of “The Gisborne Garage.”

VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of OASIS LTD.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a duly constituted meeting of the above-named company held on 16th September, 1927, the following resolution was carried, namely: “That the company be wound up by voluntary liquidation and that ERNEST ROBSON CAYGILL, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Trustees of the “Leneord Fund,” a fund created under the last will and testament of JOSEPH LENEORD, late of Thames, Miner, deceased, have prepared a scheme under Part III of the Religious Charitable and Educational Trusts Act, 1908, which scheme has been approved by the Attorney-General subject to the Supreme Court being satisfied that the property, the subject-matter of the petition, is property held for particular purposes of a charitable nature within the meaning of section 15 of the above Act. Application for approval of the scheme will be made to a Judge of the Supreme Court at Auckland on the 4th day of November, 1927. Copies may be inspected at the offices of the Registrar of the Supreme Court, Waterloo Quadrant, Auckland, and of Messrs. Hosking and Simpson, Solicitors for the Trustees, 709 N.Z. STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Stratford Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Stratford Borough Relief of Unemployment Loan of £750, 1927, authorized to be raised by the Stratford Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of undertaking the following public works for the relief of unemployment: The formation, grading, and levelling of streets the sum of £550; the laying-out, improvement, and planting of public domains vested in the Council, the sum of £200; the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fifth (1/25th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Stratford, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six (26) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.

Relief of Unemployment Loan, 1927.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926, and by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Acts amending the same respectively, the New Plymouth Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand two hundred pounds (£1,200) authorized to be raised by the New Plymouth Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purposes of constructing Pioneer Road, within the Borough of New Plymouth, including footways and kerbing and channelling thereof, the said New Plymouth Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fiftieth (1/50th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of New Plymouth (comprising the whole of the Borough of New Plymouth), and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Egmont North Road Loan, £3,500.

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the New Plymouth Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the New Plymouth Borough Egmont National Park Road Loan of £3,500, 1927, authorized to be raised by the New Plymouth Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and improving the Egmont North Road within the Egmont National Park, extending from the Egmont Road to the North Mount Egmont Hostel, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twentieth (1/20th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of New Plymouth, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six (26) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby gazetted of the following special resolution passed by members of Hart Pennington, Limited, for the winding-up and reconstruction of the company:—

Resolved as a special resolution—

  1. That it is desirable to reconstruct the company, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that CHARLES STUART FALCONER, of Wellington, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

  2. That the said Liquidator do and he is hereby authorized to consent to the registration of a new company, to be named HART PENNINGTON, LIMITED, with a memorandum and articles of association, which have already been prepared with the privity and approval of the directors of this company.
