Settlement Lands set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of settlement lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.—ORONGO SETTLEMENT.

Land set apart as an Endowment for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the piece of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which is adjacent to the endowment for primary education described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said endowment.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 19·2 perches, more or less, being Section 73, Block XII, Ngaire Survey District; being portion of the road closed by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 51, 29th July, 1926, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Wingrove Road, 108·4 links; towards the south-east by Section part 22, Block XII, Ngaire Survey District, 279·7 links; towards the south by Section 74, Block XII aforesaid, 171·4 links; and towards the north-west by Section 19, Block XII aforesaid, 460·9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 20/301, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District containing by admeasurement 305 acres, more or less, being Section 19, Block XII, Ngaire Survey District (permanently set aside as an endowment for primary education by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of 1895, page 1866).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of January, 1927.

Settlement Land in Auckland Land District proclaimed to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section forty-nine of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any land acquired under that Act to be, inter alia, ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the land described in the Schedule hereto, and which was acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, shall cease to be settlement land and become ordinary Crown land for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section forty-nine, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the land described in the Schedule hereto, which was acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, shall be Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District containing 8 acres 0 roods 32 perches, more or less, being Section 181 (Rangitaiki Settlement), Matata Parish, situated in Block III, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section 180 (Rangitaiki Settlement), Matata Parish, 580·7 links; towards the east by a river-bank reserve along the Rangitaiki River, 1156·6 and 167·8 links; towards the south-west by Section 182 (show-ground) of the said parish, 1096·5 links; towards the north-west by a public road, 359·6 and 460·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on plan marked L. and S. 1/766, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of January, 1927.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in the Benger Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 2 acres 0 roods 15 perches. Adjoining or passing through Sections 1s, 16s, and 17s, Westcott Settlement, Benger Survey District.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/1/97, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2200, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of January, 1927.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
