New Zealand Inscribed Stock Act, 1917.—Closing of Registers.

Wellington, 5th September, 1927.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Register of New Zealand 4½-per-cent. Inscribed Stock, maturing 20th April, 1939, and the Register of New Zealand 5-per-cent. Inscribed Stock, maturing 20th April, 1929, will be closed from the 1st to the 20th October, 1927 (inclusive), for the purpose of the issue of half-yearly interest.

By-law made by the Gisborne Fire Board.

THE following by-law, made by the Gisborne Fire Board, is published in accordance with the Fire Brigades Act, 1926.

GISBORNE FIRE BOARD BY-LAWS.

In pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in it by the Fire Brigades’ Act, 1908, and any amendments thereof, and of all and each and every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Gisborne Fire Board makes this by-law:—

“Fire Escapes.—The owner of every building shall provide, erect, and keep in position and in good working order and condition such fire escapes as the Fire Superintendent shall decide to be necessary for such buildings. Rope and rope-ladders will not in any case be allowed.”

The foregoing by-law was made by the Gisborne Fire Board at a duly constituted meeting of the said Board held on Friday, the 8th day of July, 1927.

The Common Seal of the Gisborne Fire Board was affixed hereto by order of the Board, this 18th day of August, 1927, in the presence of—

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Borough of Otaki.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 31st August, 1927.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Borough of Otaki and included in the County of Horowhenua. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.


SCHEDULE.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF OTAKI.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Lot 1 on plan 4176, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence easterly and southerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of that land and the western boundary of the land on plan 5980, deposited as aforesaid, to the county road; thence south-westerly along county road to the road forming the south-western boundary of Kainga-raki No. 9 Block; thence north-westerly generally along that road to the point of commencement.
