HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Cashmere Housing Loan, £2,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Heathcote County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing interest at 5½ per cent. and sinking fund at 2 per cent. on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Heathcote County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of workers’ dwellings in the Cashmere Riding, the Heathcote County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three sixty-fourths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property in the Cashmere Riding of the County of Heathcote ; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July of each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Local Bodies Finance Act, 1921–22, and amendments thereto, and by virtue of authority granted by the Minister of Internal Affairs in terms of section 7 of the Local Bodies Finance Act, 1921–22, on the 30th day of March, 1927, and by virtue of an exemption under section 14 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, from the provisions of that Act granted by the Hon. Minister of Finance on the 21st day of May, 1927, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves by way of special order, as follows :—
For the purpose of restoring damage caused by floods sustained in the County of Waitemata in December, 1926, to roads and bridges; the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves that a loan of £2,660 be raised over a period of 36½ years, with a sinking fund of at least 2 per centum per annum, to be apportioned respectively over the limits of the riding boundaries of the county as follows : Kumeu Riding, £300 ; Waitakere Riding, £1,025 ; Waipareira Riding, £1,185 ; Waikumete Riding, £150 ; and declares that the cost of raising the said loan, but not the first year’s interest on the said loan, shall be payable out of the moneys so raised, and that for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on the said loan, the Waitemata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate, upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the ridings of the County of Waitemata, as follows : Kumeu Riding, special rate of 1/64th ; Waitakere Riding, special rate of 4/64ths ; Waipareira Riding, special rate of 5/64ths ; Waikumete Riding, special rate of 1/64th ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MANUKAU ELECTRIC AND WIRELESS COMPANY, LIMITED.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
AT a meeting of the members of the company held on the 17th day of August, 1927, the following special resolution was passed :—
“ That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. HAROLD E. GOODWIN, of Auckland, Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Canterbury, a body corporate constituted under the provisions of the Education Act, 1914, proposes to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and its amendments, for educational purposes—that is to say, for the extension of the Sumner School Grounds—all that parcel of land situate in the Land District of Canterbury and the Borough of Sumner, contained in certificates of title, Vol. 343, folio 142, and Vol. 337, folio 228, being Lots 214 and 215 on deposit plan 1469, and being part Rural Section 144, and containing by admeasurement 2 roods and 1 perch, commencing at the south-eastern corner of Lot 215 on deposit plan 1469, and from there running west-north along the north side of Colenso Street on a bearing of 309° 13′ 45″ for a distance of 202 links ; thence north-east on a bearing of 39° 13′ 45″ for a distance of 250·7 links ; thence east-south on a bearing of 129° 13′ 45″ for a distance of 202 links ; and thence south-west on a bearing of 219° 13′ 45″ for a distance of 250·7 links, back to the commencing-point. As the same is delineated in the plan mentioned below, and therein coloured green.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land required to be taken and the names of the owners and occupiers of such land is deposited at the offices of the Education Board of the District of Canterbury, Oxford Terrace, Christchurch aforesaid, where it lies open for public inspection daily, without fee, during all reasonable hours ; and that all persons affected shall, if they have any objection to the taking of such land, set forth in writing such objection, and send such writing within forty days from the date of the first publication of such notice, being the 22nd day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, addressed to the Chairman of the Education Board of the District of Canterbury, at the office of the Board, Oxford Terrace, Christchurch.

THE WAITEMATA CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY, LIMITED.
IN LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of THE WAITEMATA CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution was passed by the required majority at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of THE WAITEMATA CO-OPERATIVE COMPANY, LIMITED, held on 28th July, 1927, and was confirmed at a further extraordinary general meeting held on the 16th August, 1927 :—
“ That this company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and that Mr. J. THOMSON be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”
All claims against the above-named company must be made on or before 20th September, 1927, otherwise they may be excluded from any distribution of the assets.
