DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, carrying on business as Builders and Contractors at the corner of Cargill Street and Filleul Street, Dunedin, under the style or firm of "Swann and Leith," has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the date hereof. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by DAVID ANDERSON SWANN, who will continue to carry on the said business in his own name.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
THE Partnership hitherto subsisting between the undersigned under the firm or style of “ Marshall and and McDowall,” as Engineers, at 58 Great King Street, Dunedin, has been dissolved as from the 1st day of May, 1927.
The business is being carried on by the undersigned WILLIAM ROBERT MARSHALL, who will receive all debts due to the firm and pay all liabilities.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION INCREASING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of ninety thousand pounds (£90,000) authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council under the above-mentioned Act,
for the following purposes:
(a) For main highways construction or reconstruction ... 78,000
(b) For plant and machinery necessary for carrying out the said work of construction or reconstruction ... 12,000
£90,000
the said Council, pursuant to section 23 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, hereby increases to three-eighths (3/8ths) of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of one-third (1/3rd) of a penny in the pound sterling made and levied by resolution passed by the said Council on the twenty-sixth day of March, 1925, on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Horowhenua, such rate of one-third (1/3rd) of a penny in the pound sterling being insufficient to provide for payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on such loan, and that such special rate as increased shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

CARTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Carterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Carterton Borough High-pressure Water-main Loan of £8,500, 1927, authorized to be raised by the Carterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplementing the existing high-pressure water-supply from the present terminal-point of the 9-in. main on Chester Road, to Pembroke Street, Carterton, by means of an 8 (eight) inch pipe, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one (1) penny and five-eighths (5/8ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Carterton, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
