THE PETER MAXWELL GOLD-MINING COMPANY LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

THE following special resolution was passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the above-named company, duly convened and held on the 21st day of July, 1927, and confirmed at another general meeting duly convened and held on the 18th day of August, 1927 :—
“ That the Peter Maxwell Gold-mining Company, Limited, be wound up voluntarily, and that WILLIAM INGLIS CONRADI, of Hamilton, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES.

Loan of £1,000.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waimarino County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, for the purpose of trimming, widening, forming, culverting, and metalling the Raetihi-Ohura Road (Harris’s deviation) between the Orautoha and Manganui-a-te-Ao River Bridges, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property of the Ohura Road No. 4 Special-rating District, comprising all the properties situated within the following boundaries : Commencing at a point where the east boundary of Section 4, Block XIII, Manganui Survey District, joins the north-east boundary of Waimarino Reserve No. 3 ; then generally north by the north-east and north-west boundary of the said Waimarino Reserve No. 3 to the west boundary of Section 4, Block XII, Whirinaki Survey District ; thence north by the west boundary of the said Section 4, Block XII, Whirinaki Survey District, to the Murumuru Road ; thence east by the said Murumuru Road to a point opposite the west boundary of Section 2, Block XII, Whirinaki Survey District ; thence across the Murumuru Road and north by the west boundary of Sections 2 and 1, Block XII, Whirinaki Survey District, Sections 5, 4, 3, 2, Block VIII, Whirinaki Survey District, to the Raetihi-Ohura Road ; thence east along the said Raetihi-Ohura Road to a point opposite the west boundary of Section 1, Block IV, Whirinaki Survey District ; thence generally north across the said Raetihi-Ohura Road and the west boundaries of Sections 1, 2, 3, Block IV, Whirinaki Survey District, to the Maungaroa Road ; thence south and east by the Maungaroa and Ruatiti-Erua Roads to the western boundary of Section 2, Block I, Manganui Survey District ; thence south by the east boundaries of Sections 2, Block I, Manganui Survey District, 6, 7, Block V, Manganui Survey District, and 3, Block VIII, Manganui Survey District, to the north-west boundary of Block X, Manganui Survey District ; thence generally south-west by the north-west boundary of Block X, Manganui Survey District, and that line produced to the Manganui-a-te-Ao River ; thence generally west by the Manganui-a-te-Ao River to a point opposite the eastern boundary of Section 3, Block XIII, Manganui Survey District ; thence generally south across the said Manganui-a-te-Ao River and the eastern boundaries of Sections 3 and 4, Block XIII, Manganui Survey District, to the point of commencement—comprising all the following properties : Sections 3, 4, 11, Block XIII, Manganui Survey District, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, part 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, Block IX, 3, Block VI ; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Block V ; 1 and 2, Block I, all in the Manganui Survey District ; Sections 1, 2, 3, Block IV ; 2, 3, 4, 5, Block VIII ; 1, 2, 3, 4, Block XII, all in the Whirinaki Survey District : and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Loan of £750.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £750, authorized to be raised by the Waimarino County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of trimming, forming, culverting, and metalling the Ohakune-Waiouru Road, from the end of the present metal near the Mangaehuehu Stream southwards, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and fifteen-sixteenths of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property of the Ohakune-Waiouru No. 2 Special-rating District, comprising all the properties situated within the following boundaries : Commencing at a point where the southern boundary of Rangiwaea 4r 16 No. 2B joins the north-western side of the Wangaehu Valley Road ; thence north-west by the said south boundary of the said Rangiwaea 4r 16 No. 2B to the Mangaehuehu Stream ; thence generally north by the Mangaehuehu Stream to the northern boundary of Rangiwaea 4r 16 No. 2A ; thence south, east, and north-east by the north boundary of the said Rangiwaea 4r 16 No. 2A and that boundary produced to the north side of the Ohakune-Waiouru Road ; thence north-west by the north side of the said Ohakune-Waiouru Road to the north-western boundary of Rangiwaea 4r 7 ; thence north-east by the said north-western boundary of Rangiwaea 4r 7 to the North Island Main Trunk Railway ; thence south-east by the North Island Main Trunk Railway to a point opposite the north-western boundary of Rangiwaea 4r 1 ; thence north-east by a right line across the North Island Main Trunk Railway and the north-western boundary of Rangiwaea 4r 1 to a point 1200 links from the said North Island Main Trunk Railway ; thence by a right line to the northernmost point of the Karioi Domain ; thence by the north boundary of the said Karioi Domain to the Waitaiki Stream ; thence generally south by the said Waitaiki Stream to the south side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway ; thence north-west by the south side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway to the north-western side of the Wangaehu Valley Road ; thence generally south-west by the north-western side of the said Wangaehu Valley Road to the point of commencement—comprising all the following properties : Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 31, 33, 35, 37, Ninia Township, Block VI ; Rangiwaea part 4r 1, Karioi Domain ; Rangiwaea 4r 7, part 11b, part 4r 11c, Block VI, 4r 16 No. 2A, 4r 16 No. 2B, Block X, all in the Karioi Survey District : and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Loan of £3,000.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Waimarino County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of trimming, widening, forming, culverting, and metalling the Mangaetoroa Road from its junction with the Pipiriki-Raetihi Road to the boundary of the Tupapanui Block, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and thirty-three sixty-fourths of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property of the Mangaetoroa Road Special-rating District, comprising all the properties situated within the following boundaries : Commencing at Peg CXV on the Pipiriki-Raetihi Road, being a point approximately 1526·7 links from the eastern boundary of Section 10, Block VI, Makotuku Survey District ; thence south by a right line to the north boundary of Section 1, Block X, Makotuku Survey District ; thence generally east by the north boundary of the said Section 1, Block X, Makotuku Survey District, and generally south by the eastern boundary of Sections 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, Block X, Makotuku Survey District, to the northern boundary of the Tupapanui Block ; thence east and south by the northern boundary of the Tupapanui Block and the eastern boundary of Tupapanui 2B No. 1 Block to the Waiwiri Stream ; thence west by the Waiwiri Stream to the south-east boundary of Papahawa 4A or Section 5 ; thence south-west and north-west by the south-east and south-west boundary of the said Section Papahawa 4A or Section 5 to the Waiwiri Stream ; thence generally west by the Waiwiri Stream to the Mangaetoroa Stream ; thence generally north by the Mangaetora Stream to the south-west boundary of Section 13, Block IX, Makotuku Survey District ; thence generally north and east by the west and north boundaries of the said Section 13, Block IX, Makotuku Survey District, to the Mangaetoroa Stream ; thence north by the said Mangaetoroa Stream to the Pipiriki-Raetihi Road ; thence east by the said Pipiriki-Raetihi Road to Peg CXV, being the point of commencement—comprising all the following properties : Section 4, Block V, Section part 10, Block VI, Section 13, Block IX, Sections 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, Block X, Sections Tupapanui 2B No. 1, 2B No. 2, Blocks X, XIII, XIV, Makotuku Survey District, Papahawa 4A or Section 5, Block XIV, Makotuku Survey District, all in the Makotuku Survey District : and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years or until the loan is fully paid off.
