hereby set apart for scenic purposes ; and I also hereby declare
that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the
eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-seven.

particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 68819,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
edged pink.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of
July, 1927.

Tramways, Ltd., for a Tramway across and along Portions of
the Edgecumbe-Te Teko Main Highway, and the Te Teko-
Murapara Road, in the Whakatane County.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of
July, 1927.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by the Tramways Act, 1908, and the
Tramways Amendment Act, 1910, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the term of the
license granted for a period of twenty-one years from the tenth
day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six,
by the Whakatane County Council to the Matahina Tramways,
Ltd., authorizing the said company to construct and main-
tain across and along portions of the Edgecumbe-Te Teko
Main Highway and the Te Teko-Murapara Road, in the
Whakatane County, a private tramway, the position of such
tramway being more particularly shown on the plan marked
P.W.D. 68725, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Boundaries of Borough of Napier and County of Hawke's Bay
altered.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of
July, 1927.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and
thirty-three of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,
a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying
that certain areas be excluded from the County of Hawke's
Bay and included in the Borough of Napier :
And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section
held inquiries and recommended that the alterations as prayed
for be made :
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make the alterations
of the boundaries of the said borough and of the said county
recommended by the said Commission :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corpora-
tions Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the second
day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
seven, the areas described in the Schedule hereto shall be
excluded from the County of Hawke's Bay and included in
the Borough of Napier.
SCHEDULE.
AREAS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF NAPIER.
ALL that parcel of land bounded as follows : commencing on
the north-west intersection of Ellison Street and the railway
reserve at the present borough boundary, and proceeding
in a southerly direction across Ellison Street and along the
western boundary of the railway reserve for a distance of
4828·4 links on bearing 181° 20′ 42″ ; thence continuing along
same railway reserve boundary for a distance of 951·6 links on
bearing 181° 32′ 17″ ; thence in a westerly direction across
Hastings Street south and along stop-bank for a distance of
445·0 links on bearing 284° ; thence in a northerly direction
along stop-bank for a distance of approximately 1260 links
on approximate bearing of 359° ; thence following the south-
west boundary of the Boys' High School Block in a westerly
and then a north-westerly direction for a distance of 2045·4
links ; thence leaving the school boundary, and proceeding
for distance of 100 links on bearing 298° 3′ ; thence north-
east (on a line parallel with Tutaekuri River) for a distance of
1914 links on a bearing of 28° 3′ ; thence for a distance of
150 links on approximate bearing of 1° 30′ across the reserve
to the north of the High School Block to the south-west
corner of Chambers Street ; thence following the western side
of Chambers Street to its junction with Georges Drive at
the existing borough boundary ; and thence following the
existing borough boundary by way of Georges Drive and
Ellison Street back to the commencement.
And also all that parcel of land bounded as follows : com-
encing on the existing borough boundary at the south-east
corner of the intersection of Hyderabad and Taradale Roads
and proceeding along the eastern side of the Taradale Road
for an approximate distance of 1060 links on a bearing of
223° 34′ 30″ ; thence along the stop-bank on the north-east
side of the Tutaekuri River, 930 links, on bearing 129° ; thence
180 links on bearing 122° ; thence 290 links on bearing
109° 30′ ; thence 2200 links on bearing 94° to a point on the
existing borough boundary on the south-west side of Georges
Drive directly opposite the northern side of Winifred Street ;
thence following the existing borough boundary by way of
Georges Drive and Hyderabad Road back to the com-
mencement.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all
other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent
to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken
for the purposes of a road.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be
taken : 2 acres 0 roods 35 perches.
Being portion of Hereheretau 2c 1 Block. Situated in
Block IX, Clyde Survey District (Hawke's Bay R.D.).

deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
