Date of Election by Fire-insurance Companies to fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Onehunga and Tauranga Fire Boards.

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules made thereunder, I, Richard Francis Bollard, being the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Monday, the 20th June, 1927, to be the date for holding the election of one member of the Onehunga and Tauranga Fire Boards by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancies caused by the resignation of Mr. Charles Edward Hankins.

Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Waipawa, the County of Waipawa, and the Ruataniwha Riding of the County of Waipawa.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Borough of Waipawa are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by Order in Council dated the 11th day of March, 1927, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and published in Gazette No. 16 of the 17th day of March, 1927.

And also in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the County of Waipawa affected by the said Order in Council dated the 11th day of March, 1927, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

And in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 141 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the boundaries of the Ruataniwha Riding of the County of Waipawa affected by the said Order in Council dated the 11th day of March, 1927, are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF WAIPAWA.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Block 44, Patangata Crown Grant District; thence by a right line to the middle of the Waipawa River; thence up the middle of the aforesaid river to the south-east corner of a public recreation reserve; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the reserve and the middle of the Waipawa River to a point due south of the south-west corner of Block 62, Patangata Crown Grant District; thence due north to the south-west corner of the aforesaid Block 62; thence northerly along the western boundary of the last-mentioned block to its north-west corner; thence north-easterly in a straight line to the north-eastern corner of Block 72, Patangata Crown Grant District; thence easterly along the northern boundary of Blocks 48 and 14, Patangata Crown Grant District, to the north-east corner of the aforesaid Block 14; thence south-east in a straight line to the centre of a junction of roads at or near the north-west corner of Section 12, Homewood; thence in an easterly direction along the middle of a public road, being the northern boundary of Sections 12, 13, 33, 34, and 35 to the north-east corner of Section 35, Homewood; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Sections 35 and 45, Homewood, to the northern boundary of Block 22, Patangata Crown Grant District; thence westerly and south-westerly along the northern and north-western boundaries of Block 22 aforesaid and the north-western boundaries of Block 44 aforesaid to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned block, the place of commencement.


SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF WAIPAWA.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in the summit of the Ruahine Range; thence by a right line running through Trig. Station Aorangi to the junction of the north branch of the Waipawa River with the Makaroro River; thence by a right line to the source of the Mangamauku River; thence down the middle of the Mangamauku River to the north-western boundary of Block 1, thence along the north-western boundary of Block 1, Block 5, and again of Block I, the north-western and northern boundaries of Block 3, to the source of the Manga-o-nuku River; thence down the middle of the said Manga-o-nuku River to a point in line with the north-western boundary of S.G.R. 1, Block X, Maraekakaho Survey District; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of Section 1, Block XIV, Maraekakaho Survey District; thence along the north-eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block XIV, aforesaid, Section 1, Block XV, Maraekakaho Survey District, and the north-eastern boundary of the college land to the middle of the Te Aute Road; thence southerly along the middle of the Te Aute Road to the northern boundary of Block 53, Block VIII, Waipukurau Survey District; thence north-westerly along that boundary to its north-western corner; thence south-westerly along the western boundary of Block 53 aforesaid, and its production to the middle of the Te Aute Road; thence along the middle of that road to the northern boundary of the Borough of Waipawa hereinbefore described; thence south-easterly generally along that boundary to its north-eastern corner; thence along the Waipawa-Tamumu Road to the middle of the old bed of the Waipawa River; thence along the middle of the old bed of the Waipawa River to the Tuki Tuki River; thence to and up the middle of the Tuki Tuki River to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 1 on plan 1607, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier; thence to and along the right bank of the Tuki Tuki River to its confluence with the Makaretu River; thence up the right bank of the Makaretu River to the Maharaeke Stream; thence along the middle of the Maharaeke Stream, the western boundary of Section
