Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 14·53 perches, more or less, being Lot 59 on D.P. 18394; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 16/1400, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 14·97 perches, more or less, being Lot 125 on D.P. 19506; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 16/1400A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Authorizing the Auckland Harbour Board to reclaim Land at Devonport, in Auckland Harbour.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of June, 1927.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is provided by the one hundred and sixty-eighth section of the Harbours Act, 1923 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), that the Governor-General may from time to time by Order in Council authorize any local authority or Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea areas not exceeding five acres in extent in any case where he considers that the reclamation will not affect navigation and is for the benefit of the public:

And whereas the Auckland Harbour Board (hereinafter called “the Board”) is desirous of reclaiming from the sea certain land at Devonport, in Auckland Harbour, and the said reclamation is of such a nature as aforesaid, and the Board has applied to the Governor-General in Council for an order authorizing the execution of the said harbour-works:

And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor-General in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend to the injury of navigation, and is for the benefit of the public:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize and empower the Board to reclaim from the sea at Devonport, in Auckland Harbour, the land shown coloured green on plan marked M.D. 6339, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington; such reclamation to be carried out and constructed in accordance with plan marked M.D. 6339, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Authorizing the Purchase by the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board of certain Electric Works, the Property of the Taradale Town Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of June, 1927.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section seventy-six of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the purchase by the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board, duly constituted under the provisions of the Electric-power Board, Act, 1918, of electric works the property of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Town District of Taradale, subject to the condition that in consideration of the said purchase the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board shall take over the liabilities (less such assets as may be agreed upon between the Boards) of the Taradale Town Board under the loan of nine thousand pounds raised by the latter Board from the Public Trustee.

Consenting to stopping Portions of Road in Block VII, Mata Survey District, Waiapu County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of June, 1927.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waiapu County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

Consenting to the Raising of £60,000, being a Further Portion of a Loan of £150,000, authorized to be raised by the Hutt Valley Electric-power Board on the Instalment System, extending over a Period of Thirty-six and a half Years.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of June, 1927.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS section thirty-two of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, provides that where any local authority has heretofore been or shall hereafter be authorized to raise a loan, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or otherwise, and whether such loan has been raised in part or not, such local authority may, with the consent of the Governor-General in Council, raise such loan or any part thereof upon terms of making the same, together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over such period of years, whether in excess of the period mentioned in the poll taken on the proposal for such loan or not, and payable at such time as may be fixed by such local authority, and may permanently appropriate and pledge for the purpose of securing such instalments any special rate already made or hereafter to be made or any part of such special rate:

And whereas the Hutt Valley Electric-power Board has been authorized to borrow the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds for electric works, and is now desirous of raising the sum of sixty thousand pounds, being a further portion of the said loan of one hundred and fifty thousand pounds:

And whereas application has been made by the aforesaid Electric-power Board for the consent of His Excellency the
