WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £19,000, authorized to be raised by the said Council under the above-mentioned Act for providing a high-pressure water-supply and extension of water-mains, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and nine-fiftieths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipukurau, comprising the whole of the Borough of Waipukurau, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

ELSTOW DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION INCREASING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it hereunto enabling, the Elstow Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and other charges on the Otway Special-rating Area Loan of £1,480, authorized to be raised by the Elstow Drainage Board for the purpose of establishing drainage-works, the said Drainage Board, pursuant to section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, hereby increases to four and seven-sixteenths of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of threepence three-farthings in the pound sterling on Class “A,” to three and fifteen-sixteenths of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of threepence farthing in the pound sterling on class “B,” and to three and seven-sixteenths of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of twopence three-farthings in the pound sterling on Class “C,” made and levied by resolution passed by the Board on the 19th day of November, 1926 (and gazetted on page 129 of the New Zealand Gazette, January, 1927) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Otway Special-rating Area of the Board’s district, such rate of threepence three-farthings in the pound on Class “A,” of threepence farthing in the pound on Class “B,” and of twopence three-farthings in the pound on Class “C” being insufficient to provide for the payment of interest and other charges on such loan, and that such special rates as increased shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAITOA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION INCREASING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it hereunto enabling, the Waitoa Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and other charges on the Ohine Special-rating Area Loan of £1,215, authorized to be raised by the Waitoa Drainage Board for the purpose of establishing drainage-works, the said Drainage Board, pursuant to section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, hereby increases to two and one-eighth of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of one penny three-farthings in the pound sterling on Class “A,” to one and seven-eighths of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of one and one-half penny in the pound sterling on Class “B,” and to one and five-eighths of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of one penny farthing in the pound sterling on Class “C,” made and levied by resolution passed by the Board on the 11th day of December, 1926 (and gazetted on page 126 of the New Zealand Gazette, January, 1927), on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Ohine Special-rating Area of the Board’s district, such rates of one penny three-farthings in the pound on Class “A,” of one penny half-penny in the pound on Class “B,” and of one penny farthing in the pound on Class “C” being insufficient to provide for the payment of interest and other charges on such loan, and that such special rates as increased shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
