NOTICE is hereby given that an extraordinary general
meeting of the Pentecostal Church of New Zealand,
New Plymouth Assembly (Incorporated), will be held at
Mr. Hunger’s residence, Molesworth Street, New Plymouth,
on the 20th day of June, 1927, at 7.30 o’clock p.m., for the
purpose of considering and, if thought fit, finally passing the
Liquidator’s accounts.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and
the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and their
amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of
Wellington proposes, under the provisions of the above-
named Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in
that behalf to execute a certain public work—namely, for
street widening purposes, Taranaki Street, Wellington—and
for the purposes of such public work the land described in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken :

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land
required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the
Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street,
in the said city, and is there open for inspection without fee
by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking
of the said land should, if they have well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such
writing within forty days from the first publication of this
notice to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town
Clerk at his said office.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Te Akau-Waingaro Loan of £1,800.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Council
of the County of Raglan hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a supplementary loan of £1,800, authorized to be
raised by the Council of the County of Raglan under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the
undertaking in respect of which the Te Akau-Waingaro Road-
ing Loan (1925) of £18,000 was raised—namely, the forming
and metalling of roads in the Te Akau and Waingaro Ridings
—the said Council of the County of Raglan hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one-fifteenth of a penny (1/15d.)
in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Te Akau
and Waingaro Ridings of the County, comprising the whole
of the said Te Akau and Waingaro Ridings ; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of January in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period expiring on the 1st day of December,
1961, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Te Aroha Traffic Bridge Loan £3,500.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all
other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Piako County
Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of £3,500, authorized to be
raised under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of pro-
viding the Council’s share of the sum required for the erection
of a traffic-bridge in ferro-concrete over the Waihou River
at Te Aroha, as authorized by and more fully set forth in the
Schedule of a Warrant dated the eighth day of December,
1925, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General under the provisions of section 119 of the Public
Works Act, 1908, and gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette
on the 17th day of December, 1925, on page 3404, the said
Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of one thirty-second of a penny (1/32d.) in the pound upon
the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the
whole of the County of Piako ; and that such rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-
six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership formerly
carried on by CHARLES ALBERT THOMAS and WILLIAM
THOMAS at Wanganui, Cordial-manufacturers, under the firm
name of “ Thomas and Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual
consent as from the 1st day of May, 1927. The business
will in future be carried on by WILLIAM RICHARD THOMAS
alone, and in his name. All accounts against the firm must
be rendered to him.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
existing between ERIC GRAHAM WILFRED CRUICK-
SHANK and WILLIAM VERNON CHAMBERS, carrying on business
as Farmers at Longridge, near Otane, under the name of
“ Cruickshank and Chambers ” has been dissolved by mutual
consent as from the 28th day of March, 1927. The Partner-
ship business will in future be carried on by WILLIAM VERNON
CHAMBERS, who will discharge all liabilities of the Partnership
and be entitled to receive and give a valid discharge for all
accounts owing to the Partnership.

BY an Order made by His Honour Mr. Justice Herdman
in the above matter, dated the 27th day of May, 1927,
on the petition of GEORGE DUNLOP, of Te Puke, Labourer,
it was ordered that the BAY OF PLENTY TIMBER COMPANY,
LIMITED, be wound up by the Court under the provisions of
the above Act.
