Lands permanently reserved.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
And whereas by the three-hundred-and-sixtieth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette :
And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the Warrants the dates of which are specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notifications of which were published in the Gazette specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule :
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands so temporarily reserved as aforesaid, and enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto, for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule, being the same purposes for which the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.

Opening Lands in the Wellington Land District for Sale or Selection.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the education reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease for the term of thirty-three years, with right of renewal for successive periods of thirty-three years, on Monday, the twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said reserves shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.

SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Kairanga County.—Arawaru Survey District.—Education Endowment Reserve.
Lot 1, S.O. plan 50/25, part Sections 125 and 126, Block I: Area, 148 acres. Capital value, £2,250. Half-yearly rent, £45. Weighted with £109, valuation for fencing, payable in cash.
Lot 2, S.O. plan 50/25, Part Sections 126 and 127, Block I: Area, 165 acres 3 roods 5 perches. Capital value, £2,100. Half-yearly rent, £42. Weighted with £57, valuation for fencing, payable in cash.
These sections are situated in a good farming district, on the main Palmerston North—Wellington Road, about midway between Linton and Tokomaru. The whole area has been cleared, but not stumped. The sections are partly fenced. Lot 1 contains about 125 acres of flat to undulating arable land and about 23 acres of sideling. Lot 2 contains about 98 acres of arable land and 13 acres of swamp, remainder sideling.
