A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anyway enabling me
in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a post and telegraph
garage and store; and I do also declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the fourth day of June, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.
SCHEDULE.

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more

edged red.

Warrant vesting the Control of the Dunedin to Port Chalmers
Road in the West Harbour Borough Council, and apportioning
the Cost of Maintenance.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers
and authorities in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I,
General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby direct that the
Dunedin to Port Chalmers Road (described in the Schedule
hereto) shall, on and after the date of the gazetting hereof,
be under the control of the West Harbour Borough Council;
and I do hereby further direct that the cost of maintaining
the road as a waterbound macadam road, including the
maintenance of water-tables, culverts, and bridges, and removal
of slips on the said road, but not including the maintenance
of footpaths or the curbs connected with same, shall be borne
by the Dunedin City Council, the West Harbour Borough
Council, and the Port Chalmers Borough Council in the
following proportions—viz: The Dunedin City Council shall
bear fifty (50) per centum, the West Harbour Borough Council
shall bear thirty-seven decimal five (37·5) per centum, and
the Port Chalmers Borough Council shall bear twelve decimal
five (12·5) per centum of such cost respectively; and I do also
further direct that the whole length of road shall be maintained
in an equally satisfactory condition; and I do also further
direct that any contributions hereby required to be made
as aforesaid by the Dunedin City Council and the Port
Chalmers Borough Council shall be paid from time to time,
in the proportions hereinbefore prescribed, out of the funds
of the said Councils within a period of one month after demand
in writing made by or on behalf of the West Harbour Borough
Council, and that such payments shall be made from time
to time to the Town Clerk, West Harbour, for and on behalf
of the said Councils.
SCHEDULE.
All that road situated in the Otago Land District known as
the Dunedin to Port Chalmers Road from the boundary of
the City of Dunedin at Logan Park to the boundary of the
Borough of Port Chalmers. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 68942, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in
the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red and
blue and marked A.B.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
this 13th day of May, 1927.

Notifying Lands in Nelson Land District for Sale by Public
Auction for Cash or on Deferred Payments.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land
Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
Wednesday, the twenty-second day of June, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-seven, as the time at which the
lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public
auction for cash or on deferred payments; and I hereby fix
the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those
mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Notice of Change of the Purpose of a Reserve in the Town of
Winton, Southland Land District.

WHEREAS by section six of the Public Reserves and
Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as "the
said Act"), the Governor-General is empowered, in the case
of any public reserve vested in His Majesty or the Governor-General for any of the purposes comprised in Class II of the
Second Schedule to the said Act, to change the purpose for
which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is a
reserve set duly apart for Post and Telegraph purposes, being
a purpose within Class II of the Second Schedule to the said
Act, and it is expedient to change, as hereinafter provided,
the purpose of such reserve:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby,
in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section six of
the said Act as aforesaid, declare that the reserve described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for Post
and Telegraph purposes to a reserve for public buildings of
the General Government. And I do hereby further declare
that this notice is issued subject to the provisions of section
seven of the said Act, and shall take effect according to the
provisions of that section.
